This is an incredible 1978 Mustang II Cobra II that has been completely redone to look like the original 1976 Cobra II. It has a newer 2 stage paint job with painted blue lemans stripes under the clearcoat. The side stripes and decals are original Ford items. The Wheels are 14" with 205/60R14 RWL tires. It is truely a headturner at every show. There is some minor bubbles in the drivers side lower quarter, but they have not gotten worse in over a year. This car also has air shocks in the rear to give it the perfect rake. The interior has been replaced with a perfect white interior from a 1975 Mustang II. The seats are perfect, comfortable, and soft. The dash has been redone with custom cut brushed aluminum panels and the gauges are nice and bright - lit at night with LED bulbs. The original radio is in the dash, but has been disconnected as a custom Pioneer High Power AM/FM Stereo CD with USB is mounted in the glove box. There are speakers in the original door locations as well as 3 Way Pioneer speakers in the cargo bay. To top it all off, there is a high powered subwoofer hidden inside the spare tire. At night, there is beautiful blue LED lighting hidden under the dashtop. Perfect for shows. The carpet is fresh, and the entire interior really in fantastic condition. Everything but the maplight on the roof works....even the factory digital clock. Under the carpet I have installed heat & sound shields. Mechanically, this car has a lot to offer. Starting with a rebuilt 1972 Mustang 302 topped off with an Edlebroke Intake Manifold and a Holly 4bbl carb. There are 1967 Mustang 289 heads breathing thru custom side exit exhausts. This car really has a muscle car sound! The engine also has a mild cam installed...so once it hits about 3,000 RPM, she really takes off. To keep things cool, the is a JIG welded aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Topping the engine off is a Ford Racing Air cleaner. Items replace mechanically include the steering rack, pump, starter, flywheel, exhaust, & cooling system. Interior was complete gone thru with seats, trim, sound system, & sound mats under the carpets. All in all, after purchasing the car over a year ago, $5,000 has been in upgrading this Cobra II to the level she is at today. She starts everytime and sound really great!!
