Vehicle Detail
Probably one of the nicest 6 cylinder Mustangs around. In the same family for many years and underwent a complete restoration in 2008. Restoration included new sheet metal where appropriate, striped to bare metal and dual stage paint in Ford Silver-Blue with clear coat. No rust. a/c, ps, pb, Auto. Working equipment includes a/c. heat front defroster, wipers, odometer, aftermarket stereo, etc. Doors open and close properly with no sags. The only item that does not work is the horn. Mileage is original. Many new parts in the engine compartment including fan blade, battery, distributor, wires, fuel pump, oil pressure guage, all hoses, brake shoes, hardware and hoses on all four wheels, and stainless steel brake lines. Most of the suspension is new and many parts upgraded including shocks, rear springs, ball joints, idler arm, heavy duty front stabilizer bar, etc. The car runs extremely well. If not started for several weeks, fuel evaporates from the reservoir and needs to be replemished or it will take several turns to start it. Car is driven once a week and it always starts right up and idles well in both hot or cold. The car runs cool and has never overheated. The wheels are 15 inch Ansen's ($1K) with new tires 215/65/15 with chrome valve stems. The original 14 inch steel wheels with good tures will be included in the sales. The original hub caps from '68 were sold at a swap meet. The chrome and stainless is in good to excellent condition. Bumpers were re-chromed during restoration and are in excellent condition. The center console (add-on) is NOT included in the sale. Keep in mind the car is approaching 50 years old so do not expect it to handle like a new card but it is fun to drive. Over $20,000 invested in the restoration. Selling due to loss of storge. The reserve is very reasonable. This car belongs to my brother.
