1945/1946 Cj2a Willys Jeep. Was Hunter's Vehicle. Has been sitting in a garage since 1992. Has Washington State Title. Vehicle appears to be mostly Original with removal Hard Top. Flat Fender. Yes, the body has the normal rust. I was going to restore this, but another project I have never completed. Would make a great restoration project. Sold As Where Is Tacoma, Washington. Local Pick Up ONLY. I am relisting this Vehicle, so I ended the previous auction early. I got more information from folks that know Jeeps. One Gentleman said this Jeep was made in 1945. First production run of civilian Jeeps. This Jeep was basically a modified Military Vehicle. Tail Gate was added. Gas Cap on the outside was added. As you can see it still has the indentations for the Army Ax & Shovel. Some of the unneeded holes that would have been used on a Military Jeep have been pluged. The Serial number is 10142, which I am told that this serial number of 10142 means it was the 142nd CJ2A built. It has 3 solid wheel rims and one must be from a later Jeep. It originally has a column shift, but someone has put in a floor shifter. It runs, but I believe it has a blown head gasket. I finally started it after all these years. Has to replace the fuel pump as the new gasoline disolved the fuel pump diaphram. Yes, it does need a lot of work, but it would be a great restoration project. Also there is a decreptency. The Vin Number is 10159 and the data plate mounted on the frame is 10142. Who knows how this happened. Being an older Vehicle, anything is possible. If you have any questions. please ask. There is no data plate on the firewall or the dash panel. There is a number on the body mounting bracket and it also looks like it matches the Vin number, although I cannot read the last number.
