Vehicle Detail
Up for auction again. A joke had been played on the previous winning bidder, who had no knowledge of the car, at all, or bidding on it. Anyways, here it is again. 1991 Cadillac Seville. Looks good, but needs work.61,423 miles on the odometerPositivesLooks pretty goodNew front brake padsNew fuel filterNew fuel regulatorNew vacuum control solenoid. For collector types that like everything original, the car has the original dashboard radio, which had been removed by former owner and put in trunk of car. When it does start , the engine seems to be pretty strong, with some nice muscle to it. Transmission is good tooTires look goodNegativesProbably needs a new Ignition switch, since the GM security system is making it hard to start the car with the key with the resistor in it. I have been able to bypass that and start the car a few times by configuring resistors to do so, but it seems to still have other issues. Possibly with the alternator. I also saw a code indicating no spark from the distributor area, and then the code disappeared. Needs new Catalytic converterDrivers side window doesn't work properly, so we keep it raised all the time. The car will also needs a new battery. The old one won't take a charge. So, you'll have to tow this car away. It won't start. If you can adjust the resistors properly, and you bring your own battery, it might start, but the original battery is dead, and I'm not buying a new one. It also doesn't have air conditioning since it takes a different kind of freon than what's used in most cars. But if you're a 1991 Cadillac collector, or owner, you know that. You can buy the freon used in this kind of car from an air conditioning shop. So if you want it, you'll have to buy it as is, and tow it away. Cash only. We have the pink slip in hand. No long distance deals unless you're buying "as is", and providing for your own shipping to your location. . Come and see it, but just realize that you won't be able to test drive it. It won't start. No battery. You'll have to tow it. The problem is not with the starter. it may be with the alternator, but most likely the ignition switch . .
