This is 1 - 1990 HONDA SHADOW VT 1100 ( NOT RUNNING ) O.K. this bike has been out of Commission 4 about 8yrs Now but was parked Running. It was parked due to it having an oil pressure problem & Vehicle was UNSAFE. Now Engine ran without any type of misfiring infact Bike was Comfortable & Smooth running but that being said about every 3,000 miles would just BLOW Side Casing Side Seal ( Oil Main ) & Blew oil Right on Back Tire ( Directly ) Oviously Dangerous & Parked Bike to later fix prob. & just never got around to it. ( Poss. has Bad Oil Pressure Switch ) This Bike was purchased in 92 - 93 with 3,412 miles on it & currently has 10,500 on it now. Drove 4 about 2 yrs after that has been parked. Had covered until the last 3 yrs. also had All shocks, brakes, & such parts taken off until about same time. Is Now back together was going to put back on the road couple of yrs ago but just do Not want Bothered with bike any longer. I did clean carbs out & free everything up at that same time & basically had to clean tank ( Was Stored Dry so has Surface Rust ) & get running Put Fuel in Will Run. ( At Time ) Then was planning in fixing actual problem. Good News is Bike was Never Dropped & Title is CLEAN. Thing is Pretty easy to redo clean up & Make run but I just DO NOT Want someone getting Hurt or worse yet in Not knowing actual reason 4 parking bike. Also note - Honda said this bike was not known 2 have issues like this but Somehow Not the first Honda I have had with an Overpressure oil prob. before, but then again if wasn't ridden ( Mean Exactly that ) may not have occurred & is more of a cruiser anyhow - But still have some def mixed feelings 4 not only bike but pretty much Honda in general - Ive had oil on places u don't want but when I say this bike puts it on the Rear tire - MEAN EXACTLY THAT !!! However if prob is Correctly fixed bike had a Nice Ride & im pretty sure can have a Good ride once again, Oh & tuned pipe upgrade gave a decent sound but was done by dealer , Not me - Came with them. Things that bike needs from sitting ( Other than oil pressure prob ) Tires - Still the Original as far as I know - Atleast they were ones on it when purchased Fork Seals - Dry-Rotted Fuel Tank - Cleaned out or Replaced Brake Hoses - Never even checked - But Been Sitting 4 along time Bike is Shaft Driven - Not Belt or Chain - Prob needs oil changed - Typically they need freeing up a bit when they sit 4 as long as this bike has - but did move bike around a couple of times in time been sitting - just not in awhile. Basically this bike needs gone through Also Note - Oil Seal was changed before bike was parked but if bike running again & prob Not Looked at this Seal WILL GIVE AGAIN in almost EXACTLY 3000 miles Every Time - CLOCKWORK . Engine NEVER SMOKED or did Anything that would Indicate this engine had a prob at all. Just threw oil out in an Exact timing - Hey At least it's Consistent Oh & I DO Not Offer Shipping - Has 2 Be Picked up Thanks 4 checking out this bike & hope it finds someone to Fix Properly P.S. - I didn't wipe even the pollen off & bike Cleaned is Still Pretty - Does have 1 small tear in Seat & little rust ( Surface ) on Some Chrome Parts but Can be Cleaned & Bike Generally 4 sitting all this time still aint bad - Ive Driven Worse - L.O.L
