You are bidding on a 1985 Honda VF1000R. Has not been used in the past three years. The starter went in 2010 and it has not been used since, bike was running fine when last used. Bike has had two adult owners. Has a clear title in hand. Has low miles. 9,735 original miles. Bike has no leaks. It shifts fine. The brakes and all of the lights work. Clutch feels good. It is missing the windscreen. The front fairing windshield in in great shape. It is also missing the rear tail light fairing cover and the front headlight surround. Plastics are in good shape. They do have some scratches and chips and a few broken tabs, but they are on tight. Gas tanks has a few dents, did not happen in an accident, it just fell over in a trailer. Tank is a little rusty inside but not too bad. Petcock works. Throttle works good. Choke is a little sticky, just needs a new cable. I believe the tired are original. They do hold air, but I would replace them. I believe the only thing that is not original to the bike is the exhaust, it has a nice Holeshot Vortex exhaust. Seat does show its age. Bike still has the original red paint on the front tubes and still has the original air cleaner. Rare bike to find today. Was one of the fastest bikes in its day. Even in the condition now, still gets lots of looks. The last owner had a tank bag on the tank, so you could not see the dent. Nice to ride as-is or to restore, mostly just cosmetic.
