This 1956 Plymouth Belvedere Two Door Hard Top was previously owned by a single family. The father passed the car to his son from whom I purchased it. It is a 277 V-8 with a 2 barrel carburetor. The car was garaged in 1980 and sat for 32 years. Upon purchasing the car I replaced some frayed wiring under the hood, I got the car running. Ran fine for about an hour then blew out a soft plug. The car cannot be driven due to faulty brakes, therefore, the transmission was not tested. The car is worthy of restoring, however, there are several rust issues. Both front fenders need headlight caps and bottom fender replacement panels. Also, lower half of rear quarters need replaced. Inside trunk area has rust as well. The frame is solid and all the glass is crack free! Both door bottoms are rust free and solid as well. Missing parts include: Radio, Hood ornament and driver side arm rest. NO KEYS! When purchased, this car may be picked up 20 minutes north of Wheeling WV. There is no reserve, however, starting price is $1,500.00 Payment by paypal within 3 days of end of auction, or payment by cash at time of pickup. Pickup must be made within 30 days of end of auction.
