Vehicle Detail
This is a very original car that needs the finish restoration done. It is a loaded factory 428 car. It has Air, power windows (including vent) tinted glass, AM/FM, power antenna, fender skirts, deluxe spinner hubcaps. Most every option except cruise. The underside is perfect, no sign of any rust ever. The body is very good, with only a couple small bubbles in the paint, except for a hole in the top of the trunk and package tray. The only filler I can find is in the front of the hood. It looks like it was repainted once, the original color. The body is very straight. all the wheel wells are great as well. I see NO sign that there was ever body work done for rust, so you are starting fresh. This could be a very high end car, since the best restorations are done on cars that need the least rust repair. I have never seen a 66 T-bird that is as rust free as this one is. I bought it from a body shop that had 12K invested in it, including having the engine and trans. rebuilt. (I assume it is the original engine, but don't know that for sure.) and detailing the engine compartment. They did the engine compartment in red, because that is the color they were going to do the car. The engine and trans are just sitting in there (the engine mounts are bolted in) There is no H pipe, but the rest of the exhaust looks good. I have two boxes of parts, from the engine compartment. AC parts, brackets, etc. The white interior is good, but does need to be cleaned. There is a seam gone on the edge of the passengers seat, about 2" long. The door panels have the usual cracks, only one on the passenger's side. It doesn't run, so I haven't had the trunk open, but have looked from the underside, and it is fine. There is no top fabric on the top. This could be a very high end car, since the best restorations are done on cars that need the least rust repair. I have never seen a 66 T-bird that is as rust free as this one is. AND it is a loaded 428 car. I have an Open NJ title for it. The DSO is 26. If I didn't need the money, I wouldn't be selling it. I looked 20 years to find just the right car to restore, and this was it. My loss is your gain. the car is located in Barre MA. THE CAR MUST BE PAID IN FULL IN 14 DAYS!!! It doesn't need to be picked up until the end of April, it is safe and sound in my garage. My cell number is 1-207-491-1742.
