If you take a poll of Corvette fans and ask them what they consider to be the most significant Corvette, many will say the ’63 Split Window Coupe. This was a revolutionary car on many levels. Designed by famed stylist Larry Shinoda, the S.W.C. (Split Window Coupe) was an instant classic from the moment the general public laid their eyes on it in late ’62.

This was the first Corvette Coupe since its introduction in ’53 and of course featured hideaway headlights for the first time and the famous (infamous) split down the rear window which disappeared the next year. Practical? No. Beautiful? Most certainly! Four-wheel independent suspension was introduced in ’63 as well. And it’s become a Corvette mainstay to this day. It handled as good as it looked!

This beautiful example has been very nicely frame off restored and features beautiful cosmetics, a strong 327/340hp engine mated to a 4-spd transmission and options that include power windows and power brakes!
