My apologies to those who had already bid on this bike and thank you to the person that noticed my mistake in my listing in the description box. It is now corrected and will run until auction ends normally. Luckily it was noticed after only 8 hours on. Some bidders are not seeing all the photos. I use my own photo service so they are larger and shown below. Please scroll all the way down. I am very careful about my descriptions having gone on many wild goose chases to see bikes and cars that turned out to be in far less condition than advertised. I am sure many of you have been in the same boat so I will do my utmost to describe this beauty so that there are NO disappointments. 1968 Honda CB450K1, 5 speed DOHC one year only model is in excellent condition. This is the one you want if you just want to do small details while riding it. It has frame number CB450-3007846 and engine number CB450E-3007907 (they have always been together and it was standard for Honda to have numbers non matching). Mileage reads 25026 but it runs like it has 5000 miles or less. It has had the frame and other black parts repainted very nicely and looks factory fresh. The exhaust is correct and in wonderful condition with no rust at all and just shows a few spots of discoloration on the mufflers which are correct for 1969 with HM319 stamped in them. The fenders are painted silver and do not look like they were ever chromed. The paint is just okay on the fenders. The tank and side covers were repainted and look very nice but as previous owner liked the look of the black bomber, the color black is not correct and should be blue or red. The right hand chrome tank panel has a very tiny ding and a very slight 2" crease mark but no pitting or rusting. The left hand chrome tank panel has 2 very small dings and a small nick out of the rubber knee pad but again, no rust on chrome. The inside of the tank is super clean with no flaws or rust or flaking. It has plastic reproduction Honda badges on the tank. The seat was recovered and looks professionally done. The underside of the seat is very nice and clean and still retains the arm or prop rod to hold the seat open. Has brand new and correct size battery. The chrome on the wheels is very nice but have small flaws and are not show quality. Has like new tires that are Dunlop Gold Seal K70 on back and F11 on front. The gauges are just okay and I would replace them with nos ones but they work perfectly. The headlight ears have small bends. It has the original tool kit and tools. The rear shocks are in wonderful condition with chrome bright and clean. Missing the airbox and has Uni Filter pods in place and has been jetted to run perfectly with them. In fact, the bike starts very easily on first kick hot or cold and runs smoothly with loads of power throughout the power band with no hesitation. Does NOT emit exhaust smoke on start up or while running. Very smooth and quiet and shifts perfectly thru all 5 gears. The electric start works but the starter motor sometimes spins so will need a rebuild. Other than that, it is a beauty and looks super. All lights work including high/low beam, tail and brake lights and all directional’s. It is in perfect working condition and has strong clutch with no slip. I have a clear New Hampshire titler. Guaranteed it is a clear title. Please remember that these one year only CB450's are sought after and my reserve is well below what I expect it will bring. Can hire local to deliver to Forward Air in Boston for an extra $100.00 if that helps although ground transport is quite a bit cheaper.
