82 Corvette Coupe, 4-Speed Contact Us Corvette Mike 1133 N. Tustin Avenue | Anaheim, CA 92807 Call Us Today! (714) 630-0700 Ask for Troy or Jeff Ask Us a Question For almost 60 years, the Chevrolet Corvette has been carefully crafted from a precise blend of power, performance, style and comfort. As it celebrated six decades in the automotive business, Chevrolet’s flagship continues its reign as one of GM’s technology and style bellwethers. 1982 Corvette Coupe Collector Edition 56k Miles Tinted glass T-tops A/C Power Brakes Power Steering Power Windows Power Locks Power Mirrors Power Drivers Seat Rear Opening Hatch Nineteen eighty two was a unique and transitional year for Corvette. It was the first full year of production in the completely new and modernized Bowling Green plant and after 14 years, production for the C-3 or Shark bodied Corvette was over. Bowling Green was now a world class assembly plant with all of the latest robotic machinery as well as a new two-stage paint process and many other advanced assembly techniques to carry Corvette well into the 21st century! 1982 also marked the introduction of Electronic Fuel Injection for the first time and the carburetor was gone forever. To commemorate the last year for the C3 production, Chevrolet introduced a special Corvette dubbed the Collector Edition. These Sharks came with basically every available option as standard equipment, such as Bronze tinted glass T-tops, a/c, power everything, and many unique features such as a rear opening hatch. This hatch was exclusive to the C.E. pkg. and was the first and last time it was used in the C-3, foreshadowing the introduction of the C-4 two years later. The interior also included the Silver Beige treatment and came standard with leather seat covers. Special wheels which were reminiscent of the ’67 Bolt-on’s were also part of the package. A 4-spd. automatic transmission was introduced in ’82 as well as electronic fuel injection. Horsepower was starting to climb again and performance was impressive for the time. The ’82 presented here for sale is offered here is in nice, original condition and just needs a bit of T.L.C. to make it great again. It’s got a strong drive train and decent cosmetics and runs and drives well.
