The City of Dearborn is listing a USED 2001 Ford E150 Cargo Van (Equipment 275-01). THE DRIVER'S SIDE FLOOR ROTTED OUT, UNSAFE TO DRIVE. This vehicle was used by the CDTV and taken out of service on 7-23-12. We highly recommend that prospective bidders make an on-site visit to inspect the vehicle and best determine the condition of the equipment prior to bidding. The equipment is being sold “as-is, where-is” with absolutely no guarantee or warranty. No further repairs will be made to equipment. The equipment is located at our Motor Transport Division, 2650 Greenfield Rd, Dearborn MI. This equipment may be inspected during normal business hours which are 7am until 2:30 pm. At the time of payment, the successful bidder will be required to sign a disclaimer of warranty and liability and an acknowledgment of acceptance of the item(s). If the successful bidder is another governmental entity including public schools, that entity’s check will be accepted for payment. SALES TAX will not be added to this purchase. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay at the time the title is transferred at Secretary of State. PICK-UP: Once the item(s) has been paid for, it can be picked up by the awarded bidder at the City of Dearborn Central Garage, 2650 Greenfield, Dearborn, Monday through Friday during normal business hours. The awarded bidder must bring the paid receipt to the Central Garage when picking up any item(s). The City reserves the right to request identification from the person picking up the item(s). All items will be removed at the risk and expense of the purchaser. The purchaser agrees to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the removal of all purchased item(s) from the building without assistance from City staff. The purchaser is also responsible for restoring the premises to a satisfactory condition, if necessary. The City of Dearborn retains the sole right to judge what is considered to be satisfactory condition of the premises. If the Purchaser shall cause the City of Dearborn to incur ANY expense in restoring the premises to a satisfactory condition in the event of the Purchaser’s default on this obligation, the purchaser will be held solely responsible and liable for these expenses. Mailing/delivery service will not be provided. PICK-UP TIME LIMIT: If an item is not picked up within 7 business days after the auction expiration date and time, the City of Dearborn reserves the right in its sole discretion to retain the item, to re-list it for auction and block the bidder from future auctions, or to dispose of the item as it deems appropriate.
