Vehicle Detail
First of all I rarely use Ebay Motors, so I may or may not be listing this in the proper category. I am the liquidator for the personal that was owned by a couple who was very active both in MG collecting, and other areas of mechanics. In fact, the wife was managed the MG collectors site until just recently, and the husband, Chip, was noted in the Gravey tractor collecting field. I am selling this lot where is, as is. It is in northern Baltimore County, in a shed. I have pictured one room in the shed where this MG was being restored. According to the wife, the car was one which they motored throughout the east coast and was a complete running care prior to dismantling. It was then dismantled for restoration. In addition two other MGs of similair vintage were purchased, dismantled. Many of the parts not needed were sold, and some kept. According to the wife, what is in this garage is one and 1/2 cars. That being said, I am selling the car/parts: what you see pictured. What are not car parts are exceptions. Anything that is a car part in this enclosure pictured goes to buyer regardless. Items which aren't are items not relating to cars including wood, scrap metal. tools, unless they actually were part of the car, like a jack or something. I want the buyer have anything in this portion of the garage to have anything to do with this car or cars. It seems to me that he was rebuilding the wood frame. The original back seat is there and it looks like two front seats are on a shelf. The windshields are there. It looks like there are two grills, a radiator, the motor dismantled. I did not open too many of the boxes but there were headlights, running lights and extras. I will be adding information throughout the week. On Jun-22-12 at 17:50:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Note that I have had numerous questions. Ihave taken numerous pictures which will be added Monday. Not clear, is that where the windshields are hanging, is a platform in this shed. On that platform was a lot more of the body parts. I have two engine cowls, two what look like large fenders, probably a gas tank, more pieces for the front and also the folding convetable top. I took pictures of all of this. Also there is what almost certainly looks like a transmission to me, which I photographed. Also in one of the boxes were misc dials and gauges, and there are other boxes that contain bnits and pieces, wires and more substantial parts. I will continue to try to do more work on this after the weekend. Also, while what I am selling is a large parts lot, I did ask the wife about what sort of paper work they may have had on this vehicle. It was purchased and shipped from England in 1970, and it was motored throughout New England. It has since been dismantled as I have said and the parts lot I am offering consists of the basic car and two others which have been partially parted out. However, I am guessing there will be some sort of paperwork, which if found I will anounce through additions to the listing. PLEASE NOTE, I HAVE A MORE THAN TEN YEAR OLD POLICY. I DO NOT END AUCTIONS EARLY TO SELL OUT OF EBAY AUCTION, LOTS THAT ARE UP FOR AUCTION. IF I DID, IT IS LIKELY YOU WOULD HAVE NOT HAD A CHANCE TO VIEW THIS LISTING, BASED ON THE NUMEROUS SOLICITATIONS I HAVE RECEIVED.On Jun-25-12 at 04:43:13 PDT, seller added the following information: On Jun-25-12 at 04:44:52 PDT, seller added the following information: On Jun-25-12 at 04:46:36 PDT, seller added the following information: On Jun-25-12 at 10:28:13 PDT, seller added the following information:On Jun-27-12 at 15:18:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I HAVE MADE another run to look at this car and take more pictures. I will be adding more pictures Thursday morning. I have looked for the vin number, but there was no tool box that could find, the chasis looks to have been painted and I could find no numbers there. I have already said that I am buying this from the widow of the person who could answer these questions best. Also the car must have been garage stored for years. I am sure that it was titled in Maryland if a car like this needs to be titled, and the title would be in her husbands name. I also understand that it is possible to find the vin through the MG Cheasapeake chapter, to which they were members. Please LOOK OUT for the last group of pictures I will be posting, and these go up Thursday morning. Note that I have found the gas tank, front fenders plus an extra set of reproduction front fenders, plus two sets of rear fenders. There seem to be seven wheels. I have taken pictures from underneath with a lot of the items removed. It looks like this part was restored, but take a look at the pictures, as I am selling it as pictured. Also I found the top to the motor, plus pistons also pictured.
