1966 IH SCOUT 800 4x4 PICK-UP TRUCK Up for auction is a 1966 International Scout 4x4 Travel Top Truck. It has been in an 14 month restoration with a few modern updates and upgrades, giving it a more unique look, along with some better driving performance. The Engine Bay and Drivetrain- Under the hood this all wheel drive truck has the original 152 slant 4 cylinder engine. It comes with a dual shifter transfer case and 4 speed transmission. The single master cylinder was removed and replaced with a new dual master brake cylinder. The brakes have all new brake pads /cylinders and the drums turned. The Interior Cab- Inside the trucks interior has been upgraded starting with recovering the original black vinyl front bucket seats. A rear seat was also recovered and added. The seat is not an original IH part, it was removed from a 1950's Willys jeep. A custom stereo deck has been added but is not yet hooked up. The Exterior Body- One of the bigger tasks of this restoration project was repairing the doors and hinges, along with replacing any rusty metal around the engine. To make sure the job was got done correctly, a few professional welders were called in to do the job. Along with reinforcing the front door hinges we added new rocker panels, more cab supports, and floors pans. Most of the engine compartment was also reskinned with new metal. A vintage 60's luggage truck rack was added to the cab topper. A nice front bumper with attached chrome brush guard replaced the original IH bumper. The rear bumper, which is a newer small truck model bumper was also added. The trucks glass is in great condition and has a newly installed front windshield and seal. The Undercarriage- The underside is like new. It has been sanded, primered and painted. New metal replaced old rust were needed. The gas tank was removed and resealed. All wheel wells have been repaired or replaced with stronger metal and support. There is a SNOW PLOW and HYDRAULICS which are included with the auction sale. It is an original IH snow plow. It is not attached to the truck and must be hauled or shipedp separate from the truck. There are lots of spare parts which are included in the auction, some are the original items like the bumpers, hood emblems and original chrome mirrors for the doors.
