Vehicle Detail
HI I AM SELLING ABOUT 5 BIKES OUT OF MY COLLECTION. THIS IS A UNRESTORED AND ALL ORIGINAL. Condition Original paint job, no spray paint "hack" restoration Mint original chrome tank panels and Honda Tank Badges Rust free interior of tank, solid metal no coatings or sealers Original Petcock rebuilt, brand new gaskets siphon, screens Original carbuerator, rebuilt New fuel lines Front Headlight Bezel is mint Original Seat one little tear on top, still says faded HONDA on rear Original Chrome fork covers mint condition Back of front fender is not curled up like 99% of them out there Chain guard is complete and intact with no holes or rust Original hand grips foot rubbers all say HONDA No broken or cut wires everything is nice There is not one seized, stripped or missing nut or bolt Battery/side cover are the original steel, but they have been repainted to match, no Chinese plastic reproduction crap, Rear brake light and switch work fine Brake, throttle and clutch cables are all original All bearings have been greased in the front steering stem, on the f/r wheel axles There is some rust on the rear rim, a little on the front rim, and on the mufflers ( silencer cans) there is also paint missing on the rear swing arm I have the speedo cable but the square sring cable broke when I was riding it, I saved it but a replacement would be necessary Needs a new headlight bulb, I have one but its 48 years old as well Clear title Fresh oil change, cleaned cyclical oil filter and oil screen cleaned for sale I believe it has the original tires, if not, they are pretty old, but hold air great, not dry rotted and overall pretty solid More Details I don't have a battery for it, I have been kick starting it, runs great Starts on first kick, sometimes 2nd, no smoke whatsoever, awesome compression The horn doesn't work, it isn't burned out I think its due to lack of battery or I would bet that wasps have packed mud up there. They don't burn out a little tinkering and it should be fine, it was working, perhaps a contact who knows I have brand new in the box replacement head pipes and mufflers, perfect chrome I have an extra set of front and rear chrome spokes in the box yet History This bike was brought to a guy I know for him to restore. When I saw it, I argued it shouldn't be restored because it was in great shape as is and you just don't find these bikes in this shape in the US. With all the cheap chinese parts out there you normally find something cobbled together or someone trying to make a buck off a rattle can budget restoration. Well I won, the owner sold it to me. The rest is history. My starting price and reserve is very reasonable, this is a true survivor my my tank is worth $300.00 the pipes in the box are $200.00, the chainguard $100.00, petcock $100.00 carb $100.00 alone you could part this for buku bucks. If there is any other pics you would like me to take, let me know, any questions shoot me an email I will help with shipping in anyway I can but I think you should be ready to come pick it up or meet. Ideally, you should come see an item like this. If you want to crated I would do it for 150.00 plus costs ( i would provide receipts and pictures) you must make arrangements though, i can take it to forward air etc at the airport, I have done that before. I don't really want to mess around with all that, so please borrow your wifes minivan and hit the road, it will be much less and a story you can tell for a lifetime with the bike. On Feb-12-12 at 07:35:50 PST, seller added the following information:test drives: no one drives it until the own it, to clarify i normally dont keep fuel in the tank, it becomes a pain treating it and moisture issues jeopardize the tank. I normally connect a portable tank directly to the carb and drain the bowl this gets done in spring, summer, and then after thanksgiving. I fog the tank, like you would when winterizing the cylinders on a boat. With fogging oil and will attach a pic of the portable fuel source i mentionedOn Feb-13-12 at 05:49:12 PST, seller added the following information: My reserve is 950.00 No secrets thanks for the interest!
