This auction is for an excellent condition 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 liter Cabriolet Sports Car. This unit is a very nice complete rolling chasis minus engine, transmission, ecu and harness. We bought this car sight unseen from a insurance auto auction and it was listed as water damaged. Honestly the only water that got into it was likely from a top let down during a rainstorm. It was very well cared for. and the water damage was so minor that the only part that we couldn't use was the ecu. It had to be rebuilt. There is no rust or corrision of note on the car. It is super clean. This car would be an awesome project for someone with the time and desire to finish it. The past owner even put on brand new Koni front and Rear adjustable shocks on the car within the last six months. It is very clean and ready to be built and driven. I don't think you will find a nicer project car for the money. I have title in hand. The winner of this car has the option to buy a 3.6 l 964 engine that is complete minus harness, injection and computer. it has both mufflers and heat exhangers and even a high flow cat that we intended to fit to the exhaust. It was damaged and needs to be overhauled. It has a crack on the case and needs to be disassembled and repaired and rebuilt. It was a 56 k mile engine, but does need TLC and some money to finish it up. This engine is availabe with purchase of car for $2495. It will cost more to ship and cannot be put in the car, but we would be happy to load for free. Customer is not required to buy anthing other than the car.I also have the G50 gear box, driveshafts, clutch and flywheel in excellent condition out of the car that can be purchased with the car for an additional $2795. If you put the engine and transmission in this car you would have one heck of a rocket for minimal cost. It is not included in the cost of this auction, but at the time or pickup. The customer is not required to buy anything other than the car.This car was very well cared for with no hacked up wiring or damaged parts on the car. The interior needs some cleaning and TLC, but it is on good condition. I would clear it very nicely and maybe redye it the same color or black. The top is untorn. The body is in perfectly straight order and doesn't not appear to have ever been involved in a collision. It has good glass all around, but needs the tint removed from the driver and passenger side door windows. The wheels are genuine BBS and sport good condition tires. Our new five star rating system would grade this item as a very nice condition project car. We will help load for free but shipping costs and arrangments are up to the buyer. We have a couple haulers that will transport to Northern and Southern California for around $400 or less. I would be happy to give you the local transporters number if you are interesed in getting a quote from the. I try never to sell products that are not accurately advertised. I believe that anyone buying the project car will exceptionally surprised. You can pay cash in person or send a bank wire transfer. All the floor mats and cargo carpet that weren't shown are included in the auction for the sale price, no additional fees.
