Vehicle Detail
This is probably one of the most original and complete vintage TL125 motorcycles you will find. TL125's were made by Honda for only 4 years. This is the first year production model. I've owned it for the last 15 years. I've kept up on the maintenance and ride it every once in a while. I'm selling it because I just don't enjoy riding it as much now that I have a modern trials bike to ride. It has never been restored. All of the parts are OEM Honda except the tires. This bike is from the first year of production for the Honda TL125 (TL125K0) and has a very low production number. It was number 325 off the assembly line in Japan (1st production vin# released to the public was 1000003) It would be an excellent starting point for a restoration or you can just RIDE IT, like I do. This old girl will always start with one or two kicks. It does not smoke or use any oil. After a brief warm-up it will sit there and idle nice and smooth. The brakes function as good as you could expect from the tiny little shoes. The rear shocks are straight and have very little rust. The forks are in excellent condition and have been serviced recently. I replaced the swingarm bushings with new OEM parts just this summer. The original handlebars are straight and true. Unlike most other TL's, the exhaust system is in excellent condition. It even has the original tool bag with tools. The tires are nearly brand-new IRC TR-011 competition trials tires. Things I know aren't perfect include a small crack on one of the side panels, a zip-tie-repaired rear fender, a small dent and a rubbed spot in the paint on the fuel tank. The seat cover has a small tear on the bottom of one side. There's also a small dent in the exhaust tip. I've tried to show as much as I can in the photos. I have the owner's manual for this bike although it was chewed by mice a little bit. There is no title for this bike. I will be happy to provide a bill of sale to the winning bidder upon receipt of full payment. The opening bid is the minimum selling price. I've seen less-quality TL's go for more. Don't be shy. Please ask any questions you may have and I'll answer as promptly and accurately as possible. The winning bidder can pick up this motorcycle at my location OR I can personally deliver it to you anywhere in the continental US for $1.75/mile (one-way charges only), based on Google Maps inputs, and PAID IN ADVANCE. Deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction's end. I WILL NOT crate or ship this motorcycle. Please check my other auctions.
