1999 Ford Escort Wagon 54,289 original, verifiable miles! Ice cold Air Conditioning Very economical 4 cylinder engine (30 mpg) automatic transmission f/m radio and cassette player power windows and power locks VERY RELIABLE current PA inspection until 4 / 2012 good tires (about 75% tread left) and interior everything works on this car as it should. The mileage is so low because: I bought this car from the original owner (Con-Edison) who only used it as a response car to inspect service outages. I drove it to Florida and back (over 2000 miles) last spring without a problem. My family has only used it for my son to drive to the train station daily. It is cheap, economical and VERY RELIABLE transportation. It has a couple imperfections: 1) The cover is missing from the air filter (see pic). That does not affect it's operation. 2)The paint does not match exactly above and below the pinstripe. Paint difference is not noticable from a few feet away (see close up of driver door). When I got the car, the bottom half was light blue, Con-Eds signature color. Some blue spray is still visible on hidden door sills (see interior pics). Remaining blue can be easily touched up with a paint brush. I just never bothered. To save money, I had the bottom half painted white. It looks okay from a few feet away, but does not match perfectly. 3) There is an indented scrape on the driver door (see close up pic). 4) There is a spider crack in the center of the front bumper (see close up pic). We loved this car because it never asked for anything except gas and oil changes. My son moved away to college so we have no need for the car.
