Hi. This is a 1976 Cadillac convertible. I took this car in on trade for some of the labor fee for the restoration I am doing on a 55 jaguar. I do not know a lot about the history of the car but I will try cover everything I can. I have been driving the car for a for a month now to get a feeling of it and I believe it is a pretty good car. It drives very nice and goes down the road real nice and steers straight with No slop in the steering. There are no vibrations. The car has 83,600 miles on it. I will cover the individual items of the car. ENGINE The 500ci fuel injected engine starts right up both hot and cold and runs nice with no engine noise. I have not had to add any oil over the month of use. DRIVETRAIN The transmission shifts through the gears nice and the fluid is not burnt. The diferentual is quiet and the drive shafts make no noise on turns. BRAKES The 4 wheel power disc brakes work excellent and so does the parking brake with automatic release feature. INTERIOR The 50/50 dual power leather seats are in nice condition both front and rear with No rips and they are clean. The dash pad has No cracks and the steering wheel is nice. The black original carpet is still ok. The only interior flaws are one rear ash tray does not seem to have a lid and the drivers door panel has some cracks in it. A new door panel from a Cadillac vender is $350. CONVERTIBLE TOP The original convertible top with glass rear window is still in good condition and works fine. The car comes with the hard cover parade boot for covering the top when down. GLASS The glass is all good and all the power windows work. BODY I can find No rust on the body or any of the floors both trunk and interior. There are a few minor dents and the paint is presentable but faded in a few spots. Both front and rear bumper are nice. Both doors shut real nice and are not loose. The power door locks work nice and so does the power closing trunk. All 4 bumper fillers that normally go bad on these cars are in nice shape and crack free. The filler between the rear license plate and the bumper is cracked. These cost $89 new. TIRES. All 4 tires while they are not whitewalls all match and are in nice condition and could driven on for a long trip. The car has a spare tire and original jack. OPTIONS The car is loaded with options and they all work with the exception that the air conditioning does not blow cold but the system does work on heat. The factory AM-FM stereo radio with power antenna both work. The factory security system still works. The car has these features. Working Cruise control, Controled cycle wipers, Automatic level control, Tilt and telescope steering wheel, Both right and left exterior rear view mirrors that are adjustible inside the car work nice, Power door locks, Power windows, Power seats, Outside thermometer, Remote trunk release, Automatic headlights. This is a good car a person can get into without spending a lot of money and drive as is or fix the couple cosmetic problems and have a very nice car. The car looks good enough to get complements when I drive it. The only storage I have for it is in my shop and I need the space for restoration work so sadly it must go but I did enjoy driving it. I have priced it realistic and there is No reserve so any winning bidder will get the car or you can used the buy it now.
