Vehicle Detail
Hello, you are bidding on my favorite vehicle I have ever owned. Its just time to get a new one. 2000 E350 Super Cargo Van. It has the Powerstroke 7.3L diesel. I love this van. It has never missed a beat. I bought this used thru my brother-in-laws dealership in 2002. It has always been garaged since I have owned it. I am the 2nd owner. It was fleet vehicle trade-in before I bought it. I will start with the bad. First off, it has 223k miles, so expect a few marks, scratches, dings here and there. There is not any serious rust anywhere except the rear bumper-which I have spray painted a few times in the past. Looks great from 1/4 mile away....well, really like 20 feet.... Also, its a diesel, so it drips a little oil (about 4-5 drops a week). Its coming from the well known pesky o-ring on top of the engine. Most 7.3's do this. I just have never gotten around to getting it replaced. It doesnt leak enough to bother me. Also, the ABS/Brake light is on. I have never liked ABS anyway, and didnt want to pay $85 for them to read the ABS code. Brakes work awesome, just no ABS. It is 4 wheel Disc! Stops on a dime. Lastly, I did have a fender bender in 2005. A guy hit me at a stop light. It dented the left front fender and the front bumper. I drove it home. I am pretty sure that will show up on the carfax, but it is the only shunt it has ever had. It was repaired at the Ford Dealership here in town. Now, for the good: I have always changed the oil on or before its needed. Always with Rotella SYNTHETIC. I do oil analysis on my vehicles and have the latest report (at 221k miles) from Blackstone Laboratories. They loved the results and actually specified stretching the oil changes if I wanted to. I will try to attach it to the auction, but if I cant figure that out, its a PDF file, so I can email it if needed. Here is the comment copied and pasted from Blackstones Oil Analysis Report: MYLON: All is well for the 7.3L engine in your E-350. Universal averages show normal wear after a mere 5,400 miles on the oil. This oil was in place nearly twice as long, and most elements compare almost perfectly to universal averages. The one metal that is higher than average (iron) is expectedly high because it will accumulate in the oil after a longer oil run. As long as the iron doesn't make the oil abrasive and cause other wear (it hasn't), it's not really a problem. No contamination was found, so add 2,000 miles to your next fill. Nice engine at 221,000 miles! I am a former aircraft mechanic and a current business owner, so I take care of everything I own. I just put a new lifetime alternator on it a couple of weeks ago. Also, 2 new matching 84 month batteries maybe 6 months ago. It has the STA wire hard-wired for the alternator (senses battery voltage), so you wont be replacing the alternator every year or so like most other 7.3L's. I just changed the fuel filter and air filters at 221k. Also, did the Viton o rings on the fuel filter water separater drain, cures pesky fuel leak that happens to most 7.3L's. I put 4 brand new Michelin LTX's on this year. They are like new and Load E rated. The spare is brand new-never on the ground-but is a Goodyear Load E. It has a class 5 hitch and 7 way plug. The air conditioning works great. This van averages 17 MPG on every tank of fuel which is 34 gallons. We drove it to Michigan a few months ago and it averaged 21 mpg on the highway! Couldnt believe it as it weighs 6500 pounds empty. I had all new upper and lower ball joints (greaseable moogs) put in last year. Should be lifetime if you keep them lubed. FYI, stock ones are not greaseable-???-that is why they only lasted 190k. I have all receipts for everything I have ever put on this van-especially important for the lifetime warranty stuff. Reason for selling-I am hoping to accept a new position at a company here in town soon, and just felt it better to have a new vehicle for the job. I would drive this van ANYWHERE, but its just time for a new truck. You will not be disappointed in this van. You may come by and take a look in person, just email me. This is a 5 day NO RESERVE auction, so high bidder wins it. I have the clear Indiana Title in hand. I will not ship this van. Local pickup is the only option. Thanks and good luck! BTW, Please see my other auctions.
