A big, powerful German sedan. I'm selling this vehicle for a friend who no longer has garage space for it. Cranks, runs, drives, and stops great. It's very quiet. Sits the road like a rock. Has 160 mph on the speedometer, and I believe it would do it. I drove it on the interstate a little to test it out, and was instantly spoiled by the way this car handles & performs. As best as I can tell, car originated at Hendrick Mercedes in Hickory, NC, and has been maintained by them. Oil & trans fluid look very clean. Car has supposedly been stored inside most of it's life, and it shows. Good Cooper radials. Appear to be about 75%. All windows work, with the exception noted below. All power seat features work. Original (I think) Becker sound system. Seat & door panel leathers are in very good condition. All lights work. Trunk is clean, & shows no sign of leaks. Has original spare, tool kit, & owners manuals. Transmission shifts smooth & tight. Car idles so quiet & rock steady you can hardly tell it's running. Brakes are smooth & even. Steering feels tight and smooth. Climate control appears to work properly (cools and heats) Cruise control works. Engine does not overheat. All warning lights activate when the switch is turned, and then go out properly. (i.e. they do not appear to have been tampered with) Has the original red-dot key. Last NC safety inspection was 09/10. All in all, appears to be a very nice, well-maintained luxury sedan that should give many more years of service. I am not an expert on Mercedes, even though I drive an old 190 myself, but here are the issues I saw; ds rear window does not roll up or down (no response when switch is pressed) . Power antenna does not go up or down automatically, although it can be raised and lowered manually. Sunroof makes a noise, but will not open. There are 2 dents and a scrape on the ds front fender (visible in photos) A couple of touched-up dings about dime-sized on the hood. I have not put the car on a lift, but I don't see any drips in the driveway. The underhood insulation is coming loose. Air cleaner duct has tape on it. As far as the two collisions mentioned by the CarFax report; I have looked the car over thoroughly, underneath and body, and see no sign of any collision repair, or even any painting. I'm assuming the existing dents on the ds front fender are the second "fender bender" The current owner got the car from his father, and knows nothing about any accidents. CarFax lists any collision in which the police were called, whether it's major or very minor they have no way to tell. All bidders please read; This vehicle is sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty of any sort, except that if the buyer arrives to pick up the car and discovers a major misdescription, I will refund the deposit, no questions asked. This does not include cosmetic issues. This vehicle has not been inspected by a mechanic, so any interested party is encouraged to personally inpect the vehicle, or send a representative to do so. I will assist with this in any way possible. I value my reputation. Please remember that this is an old vehicle. It is not new, and will not look new. While I have tried to be thorough in my description, there may be mechanical issues of which I am unaware. A $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the sale, by verified PayPal. The balance is due within 7 days, and may be by cash on arrival, bank to bank transfer, or check. Please note that any form of check will delay delivery of the vehicle and title up to 14 days. I can hold the vehicle for up to 30 days after full payment is made. I will be glad to assist a transporter in loading, and have a good place to load, should you choose not to drive the vehicle home.
