An excellent example of a superb high performance machine from the ‘80s, this classic BMW motorcycle has been a great tourer and a lot of fun. It has traveled faithfully throughout Kentucky and Tennessee ,and has performed well for the past 3 years I have owned it. Everything works on this bike. All fluids, filters, greases, batteries, etc. have been maintained at regular intervals. The tires were replaced last summer along with the battery, the radiator fan was replaced this past winter and it starts immediately every time. It has a custom Corbin seat along with the original stock seat, also comes with a cut down windshield if you want a sportier look. An owner’s handbook is included. Early two-valve K-bike are legendary for their reliability and durability; 250K mile examples are not uncommon. Even when parked in the garage for weeks, it comes to life almost immediately with a touch of the starter button. It runs smoothly while underway, and a twist of the throttle produces the turbine-like acceleration that K-bikes are known for. Just grab your riding gear and head out to your favorite road! While mechanically sound, the bike has normal cosmetic blemishes expected from 26 years and 22,000 miles of service, 2 years ago the lower right fairing got cracked. It has been replaced, but still needs to be painted.
