The elderly gentleman who owned it had died in 2007 and it had been parked since then. The truck was his daily driver and he made many improvements on it, including the aftermarket Rayjay turbo and larger exhaust system. I had the turbo sent to a specialist company in Iowa to get it rebuilt and 1000 plus dollars later, with the rebuilt injectors, it runs great. The pickup has a 5 speed transaxle, but no AC. It does have a tach as seen in the pictures. It has seat covers and a dash pad cover . The owner installed Autoteck top and bottom stabilizer bars. It has 4 almost new tires with 90% tread left and a nice topper with sliding glass rear window. It has new fuel lines and filters, plus a new timing belt. This is a NO RUST desert New Mexico Rabbit 1.6 Turbo diesel, 5 speed truck. The top and hood have been repainted. The rest of the truck is original paint. It drives and runs great. I have owned about 30 of the VW Rabbits diesel pickups in the last 30 years and this one ranks in the top 5 easily. Great Fuel mileage!!!! 45 to 55 MPG Fly in and drive this one home!!
