Purchased this great 521 in California last Sept with the intent of a resto-mod with a Miata suspension and upgraded motor and drive train. After driving it around Southern California for a few days after purchase and attending the Southwest Datsun Pickup Club's annual barbeque, however, the general consensus was that it was too original to modify. I have driven it a few miles since having it shipped back, but agree that it should be kept original. Think you will agree the truck is in very good original condition to be almost 40 years old. The ad below, which was used when I purchased, better describes the truck and its condition. All required inspections must be completed prior to bidding. This amazing Datsun Pick Up Truck was bought ne win California on October 6, 1971 and has spent its entire life right here, rust free and solid. I purchased this Datsun Pick Up from the original owner who due to his age was unable to drive any longer. This Datsun Pick Up has the original paint, wheels, chrome, glass, radio, bumpers, etc. This truck brings back lots of cool memories and is probably one of the cleanest 40 year old Datsun Trucks around. The interior has the factory AM radio, the original robber mat is just like new, very little wear on the foot pedals, original door panels in excellent condition. The truck starts right up, idles, runs, accelerates, and drives incredibly smooth. Brakes are solid, steering is tight and this truck is fun to drive. The truck does have some minor dings on both sides and a small dent in the bed on the drivers side above the taillight. The dash also has a crack near the ash tray. Truck comes with the original jack, owners manual and some misc paperwork including a copy of the original pink slip and first registration card from 1971.
