The main difference in a gas motor and a diesel is torque delivery. This motor delivers in that department. Merging into traffic even at 60 MPH is effortless, call on the turbo and woosh! A mountain of torque that could easily pull a 5000lb boat out of the water, haul a weekend racer or pull away from the kid in the mustang at the red light. I was seeing 22 MPG city and 28 MPG running 75 MPH. Not bad for a 6000 lb truck.
