I will be as honest as I possibly can be with this truck but you should know that I do not know a lot about vehicles, so please feel free to ask any and all questions before bidding! This is an awesome truck that I hate to get rid of but we simply do not need it anymore. We have had it for a year but husband wants newer model so it is time to give her up. We bought it with our fifth wheel (intending on using it to tow) but have only towed the 5th wheel once and have decided that we no longer need it. It came with the hitch package for the 5th but it will not be included because it is sitting with our 5th wheel in storage (in California) but it is ready to hook up if you have the equipment (has holes for 5th hitch and the electrical is ready). We bought it in California and drove it to North Carolina with absolutly no problems. However, since we have been here, we have replaced both battteries, glow plugs, glow plug harnesses, and the alternator (all at once). The check egine light still comes on with the code P1395, which means that there is probably a wiring problem but we have replaced the batteries, harnesses and glow plugs (which should have fixed that) so I do not see how that is possible. Truck runs fine so I have not loked into it further. I do not drive it much at all anymore anyway. Since I got the alternator replaced, the radio/CD player turns on but there is no volume. I am taking it back to the dealership in a few days to get that looked at (probably just the radio code) so I will keep you informed on that. Since it is a 14 year old truck, there was bound to be some things that needed replacing but now it runs great! There are a little under 289,000 miles on it but it is a diesel and the best motor that Ford ever built, so it is a great truck. There is a little smoke sometimes at start-up but this is common with diesels. Passanger power window sometimes sticks but can be rolled down by driver side at any time. There is a very slow leak in the front of the truck that looks as though it is coming from the oil filter but I am no expert. It is a tiny drip but someone who knows more about it might be able to fix it (the dealership says they do not see this leak). There is a dent on the driver side back of the cab but it is not large. There is plenty of rust underneath this truck (see pictures) but I do not think it has affected it's function. This truck is not a shiny new one but it cleans up very nice. There are no odors or major stains on the seats. The dash looks nice and there is not a lot of dirt or anything crazy. I have had my dogs in it a few times but I will have it detailed before pick-up, if you are the winning bidder. Expect a few more miles on it when you pick it up because I am taking it to get it cleaned and there are a few people who want to test drive. There are some minor dents, scratches, and dings on this truck. We have never smoked in this truck (we are not smokers) but I think a previous owner may have (there is what aooears to be a small cigarette hole in the roof) but there are no cigarette odors. Also, there is some rust. Please examine photos carefully for asthetics because I simply can not explain every nook on this vehicle. Also, I do not know anything about under the hood except for what is new, which I have listed above. This would be a wonderful truck for towing, work, or for around the farm. It is heavy duty and hardcore. It is white in color, with gray accents. Please feel free to call me with any questions at 951-743-4026.
