NOTE: I have been selling vehicles on eBay since 2002 and had perfect feedback until late last year when I received my first negative from a person in Belgium with a feedback of 2 who bid and won a vintage van on my auction. I gave him detailed information and pictures of the van and he replied, but with some confusion, perhaps a language problem. Without receiving the van and seeing it in person, he left me negative feedback and said the description wasn't accurate and I was too old to "do" eBay. How can you say that without seeing the van in person??? Ebay gave me credit for my fee, but would not take off the negative feedback. I object to their feedback system as it is now, especially since I am not able to leave negative feedback for a buyer with whom I have problems. I state all this to explain 1 negative feedback in 8 years of selling over 140 vehicles and many parts on eBay!! If you have less than 10 positive feedback, or any negative feedback, you need to call me before you bid or I may cancel your bid 719-738-6442 ArnoldGreat 1968 VW Double Cab Pickup I have owned this VW double cab since 1977, when I purchased it from the original owner in California. It had 34,285 miles on it then. I have put about 39,750 miles on it over the last 33 years. The previous owner worked for Jet Propulsion Lab in CA, as you can see from the sticker on the window. The pickup has a 1600cc VW industrial engine in it and a 1971 transaxle, better throw out bearing set up and better transaxle that the stock one for 1968. There is a new stock exhaust system installed, fresh tune up and oil change and new fuel line, filter and pump. I went through the brakes less than 10,000 miles ago. The tires are about 85% BF Goodrich Revelation Touring P205 175 R14’s. The interior is all original, with the top outside corner of the front seats sun damaged. It has an AM-FM Sapphire X radio and a vintage Pioneer cassette AM FM radio mounted under the dash. There is one small hole in the headliner above the driver’s seat. The truck is about 75% original paint and has never been hit in the front. It has a newer tinted shaded windshield with a new seal. It has some primer showing under the windshield. I installed a factory trailer hitch on it in 1979, so I could tow another VW with it. The wood slats on the cargo floor are missing. The cargo bows come with it and there are KYB gas adjust shocks on the front and rear. This is a great hard to find mostly original VW double cab pickup and is ready to drive home. Questions???
