*** Listing is complete for now -- Please BID! *** Toyota 1989 Cressida 4-Door Sedan *** The Intent of this sale is for a fellow CRESSIDA FANATIC *** to do Top Engine Work or to have a Parts Car We previously drove this vehicle for several years before retiring it -- Wonderful Vehicle -- (Lexus Version 0.0) --Very Comfortable It was retired some years back because it Lost Coolant due to failed hose and apparently overheated Some time later the engine began to run unevenly Best recollection is that a Compression Check suggested 2 Burnt Valves It ran well prior to last problem and was well maintained It was driveable with a rough engine prior to retirement It did previously go through the traditional Head Gasket Replacement The Body is in reasonable condition with some rust from untreated minor damage from sitting for several years It is in an awkward space -- difficult to clean and photograph It is covered with crud from nearby trees -- no attempt has been made to clean it The Interior is Cloth in nice condition (better than leather in extreme hot or cold) On this October 11th we fussed with the engine some It turns over OK but sounds uneven due to bad valves It ran briefly but unevenly on Ether It did not (yet) switch over to fuel injection The throttle linkage seems to be binding (probably not serious) Battery NOT Included Guaranteed description and Photos -- otherwise as-is Subject to prior sale until first bid is received Available for Inspection and Pickup in Fairfield, Connecticut (near Bridgeport) Cash upon pickup within a reasonable time or other mutually agreed termsOn Oct-16-10 at 18:04:51 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE! -- The (Real) Toyota Cressida Shop Manual has surfaced.
