ACCORDING TO NUMBERS I HAVE SEEN THIS TRUCK IS ONE OF 74, 440 POWERED,1/2 TON TRUCKS PRODUCED FOR THE 1978 YEAR MODEL.THIS WAS ALSO THE LAST YEAR FOR THE 440 IN ANY PRODUCTION VEHICLE. THANKS FOR LOOKINGOn Sep-26-10 at 20:30:50 PDT, seller added the following information: some of the things done to this truck include,new aluminum radiator($180.00),fairly new holley spreadbore carb.($400.00) new engine wiring harness from bill evans ($150.00),new radiator hoses.major tune up recently,new air filter,changed the oil.it also has very new door seals and window felts.i also boxed the frame (double sided)at the steering box as some of these years of trucks had that problem of splitting the frame in that area.it starts with a button instead of the key as the switch is getting a little tired it has a jvc stereo/cd player,all the gauges work,including the tach,the truck cranks quick,runs good,and has very little rust in the body,as you can see by the pictures,the bed is ok except for the front left portion,all of the trim is there but some will need to be put back on(2 pieces).the dash is not cracked.the a/c worked up until a year ago when i put a hole in the condensor,it worked real good....this truck came out of texas originally,but i got it from louisianna.drove a ford ranger to La. with a tow dolly,put the ford behind this dodge and drove back to n.c. with no problems.this truck has never let me down,drives real nice,and is kind of rare.it is also the last year you could buy an american production vehicle without a catalytic converter.it passed inspection in march with no problems.i have a clear n.c. title in my name.
