Vehicle Detail
Honda N600 Sedan - very good condition and dependable driver - this rust free Arizona car was repainted in 1992 and still looks very fresh - it is a light tan, which is not a factory color, but looks very nice - it was put into indoor storage in 1994 where it stayed for appx. 15 years - it had been used as a reliable second car and also towed behind their motor home - it had been driven to the top of Pikes Peak with 2 adults and 2 teen agers - it had also been towed to Alaska and then driven across the wilderness 500 miles one way and then 500 miles back - the front seats have been recovered with nice heavy black material (looks to be leather), and still has the original upholstery on the rear seats and door panels - the narrow piece on the top of the rear seat, that the sun cooks, has been replaced and looks very good (I tried to show that in a picture, because most sedans are very bad there) - has good servicable black carpet - near new Rieken 145/80 R10 tires - all good glass and mirrors, both exterior and inside rear view mirrors - good working AM-FM aftermarket radio that has what seems to be a non working cassette player - has the factory radio antenna as pictured - two rear speakers mounted in the package tray - has very nice chrome everywhere, as shown - has the good original spare tire carrier w/mounted spare tire underneath the rear bumper - nice non-original jack with pouch in the trunk - has working keys for all locks, ignition, doors and trunk - the mechanics all are in very good condition - good battery, starts right up every time - all of the lights and turn signals work correctly - has tight steering, good brakes, and is fun to drive - this car was brought out of storage about 1 1/2 years ago and I've owned it appx. 4 months and have put appx. 1000 trouble free miles on it - fluids are up to date, and I will furnish the buyer with a new oil filter and fuel filter and will also give it a wax job, which you don't get to do on very many cars this age - I've done several small things to it just because I can, not because it really needed anything - It shows appx. 39,000 miles on the odometer, and knowing the condition and the history of it, that seems correct - it should be ready to make someone a real nice dependable car, and not something that you need to be working on all of the time - also, most people aren't aware that the Honda 600 was one of the first vehicles that could be towed all four wheels down behind an R.V. - I have removed the very sturdy tow bar brackets from the front suspension, but they will be included with the car if wanted - if you also want to build a new towbar, I have one that you can use for a pattern - Please, if you have any questions, just ask, or if you are close enough to Excelsior Springs, MO (appx. 25 mi. NE of Kansas City) that you want to go for a test drive, just let me know - I have owned many Honda 600's in the last 15-16 years and have several now - I love driving them and working on them if I need to, have any possible spare parts for them, and know that this seems to be a real nice used car and ready for someone to enjoy. On Aug-12-10 at 06:53:19 PDT, seller added the following information: ** NOTE ** I've had several good questions and I've also thought of a few more things myself that I wanted to add, so I'll lump everything together here to save some space - TITLE, yes I have a clear Missouri title in my name that matches the numbers on the dash and door jamb - BRAKES - good brakes, stops in a straight line and the front rotors look very good - other than just looking at the rotors, I have not done a thing to the brakes - MPG - I'm getting appx. 34 - 36 miles per gallon with about 3/4 of the driving being in my small town - I would estimate that it should get 36 - 40 on a straight highway run - PICK-UP - the car will be picked up here in Excelsior Springs, MO, about 5 miles off of I-35, and about 25 miles NE of Kansas City, MO - I would recommend hauling it if it would be much of a distance, because it's a used appx. 35 year old car, and I personally like to slowly get used to a strange car in familar area close to my home - but the last Honda 600 that I sold, I picked up the buyer at the K.C. airport, and he drove it straight back to North of Denver, appx. 650 miles non stop with a storm coming in - he had no problems - ENGINE NOISE - very quiet engine and also very quiet exhaust - LIGHTS - I stated in the listing that the running lights and turn signals work just fine and I have done nothing to them since I've owned it, but add to that the working back-up lights and also the interior dome light that comes when you open the door - PAINT - I mentioned that the color is not a factory color, but the original color was white - the inside of the doors have been painted with the same tan exterior color, but the rest of the interior is white with black upholstery which is a good combination - I'm mentioning this because if the original color had been red, blue or green, there could be a clash when you open the door - it also has the rear side gadget tray panels on both sides, serviceable headliner, door panels, seat belts and sunvisors - and while I'm on the subject, I've always had requests for the black plastic strip on the doors, above the door panels and below the glass, but I have never had any that were not broken - these are good, the first that I've ever even seen - also, talking about the paint, there are no blisters or rust showing on the entire body, but just a very few very small rock chips, but when I stated it the listing that I would wax it for the new owner, that should say something about the paint - Thanks for looking, Ray CaveOn Aug-16-10 at 06:57:51 PDT, seller added the following information: ** NOTE no. 2 ** Please, I'd like to add just a few more things - while waxing the car, I've noticed a few things that I'd like to mention - yes, it appears that the windshield rubber seal has been replaced with a new seal and perfect center chrome trim/strip - looks very nice, especially if you've noticed other 600's - also I've noticed a very, very small rock chip on the passenger side of the windshield - I never noticed it before, but I thought I'd mention it - not enough to show in a picture, but it's there - since I've had the car, I thought maybe the bumpers might have been new, the chrome was so good - they still look good, and surely must have been new or rechromed - in one of the pictures of the rear of the car, you can see what looks to be chrome hatchback hinges - these are the stock hinges, that were always painted by Honda to match the car - what I've done is to remove and polish the aluminum castings to a chrome-like finish before putting them back on - that's just a small touch that really sets it off - also while I was waxing the car, I did notice several very, very small paint chips that have been touched up with the matching paint to prevent rust - we're talking very small spots here, but I just wanted to mention it - also, if you're real familar with the sedans, the windshield washer pump is manual, mounted in the wiper switch, and usually not working - on this car, a custom switch operated electric pump/solenoid has been added - the problem is that the bottom of the plastic hood mounted spray nozzle is broken off under the hood where the hose attaches and I'm afraid that if I replace the nozzle it will chip the paint on the hood - I will supply another hood nozzle for the new owner - Thanks for reading the latest chapter of my book, but I'm trying to let you know everything that I know about this car - Ray Cave
