1968 MERCURY COUGAR 302 4V PS PDB Nice red California car! This is my dad's car and he only gave me a brief description of the car which reads just like this: 68 Cougar, 302 4V AT, PS, PDB, California car, factory air conditioning, Red with Maroon interior. Recent paint. Runs and drives nice. That's his description, now I'm going to improve on that... Absolutely no rust! I have been in and out of this car checking everything for any sign of corrosion and this is totally solid! The interior floor pan under the carpet in front and through to the back into the trunk was repainted red to match the car and it was done to factory standards. Refinished by Victory Restorations. Clear title ready to be transferred. The Washington state tabs are good. Rare 14x7" original Rally wheels with caps. 205/70/14" Goodyear Eagle ST tires. The interior has new seat covers, new headliner, new carpet, new door sill plates and a few other new parts. The top of the dash pad has cracks in it though and I tried to take pictures of that. The interior door panels have some cracks I think. The vinyl pad next to the gauges on the dash has a crack in it too. Other than that the interior looks and feels just right... It does have air conditioning but the belt has been taken off the pump, in the Seattle area we rarely use A/C... It might need to be recharged with R-134 refrigerant when the belt is replaced. The sky was a little dark and the sun was an orange color due to forest fires in British Columbia in Canada, the smoke carried through the atmosphere did that. The color of the car is a little brighter than what is shown in the pictures. If you want to view the car you must do so before the last 24 hours of the auction end. I won't show the car to anyone in the last day. It is a partially restored car, although not perfect it is a good car in very nice condition. This car is being sold in As-is condition.
