Vehicle Detail
1989 Ford Mustang 2.3L Auto Notchback \{FOOSE DESIGNS INSPIRED STYLE}/ CUSTOM SHOW CAR! 2.3L 4 cylinder with an automatic transmission. The odometer reads 22,500 miles but it might be 122,500 miles. This has been to just 1 car show, the Return to Renton on July 11 a little while ago. Standing back and watching people check it out and comment on the details put a smile on my face :) Out driving on the street people yell comments out to me, when I parked it at the supermarket the other day I walked out and found a few people walking around my car checking it out. Yes, this car gets attention! Custom paint job! Tuxedo Black on top, Porsche Red on the bottom separated by a silver pinstripe. The car had its original factory paint without any major dents prior to being repainted. There is pretty much none to very little amount of bodywork done to the car, just a couple dings were repaired before paint... but the car does show tiny imperfections that had been overlooked. The original paint had burned in the sun and couldn't be polished, so I decided to have a local shop repaint it. I do have pictures of the car with the original finish to show the new owner. Done by Victory Restorations. All original body, every panel on the car is factory installed with the original vin number stickers still installed from the factory! Electric windows Electric trunk lock Electric mirrors Electric fuel door lid Tilt steering column Original AM/FM Cassette player Air Conditioning - needs a belt and R134 recharge 3.73 rear differential ratio with a 7.5" rear housing, that's all original from the factory The trunk lid has a 1969 Mustang MACH 1 spoiler mounted on it, a unique look that works great for this car... The front headlights and rear taillights are custom, brand new, freshly installed! The original front headlights on the car were sunburned and the rear taillights I changed out because I liked the look. Clear title ready to be transferred. The Washington state tabs are good till October 2011, yes, 2011, I paid extra to have the tabs rollover till next year. It always passes emissions! Catalytic converter is still in place. The brakes had been changed front and back before I bought the car in 2007. The brake drums looked like brand new original drums. I didn't put that many miles on this car so the brakes will be good for a long time... The radiator is brand new. The fan turns on right when the ignition key is turned. The transmission was rebuilt in 2007. Rare 16x7" original Mustang wheels, freshly repainted silver. 245/50/16" tires in the rear, 225/50/16" tires in the front. Up till a couple weeks ago this car had the 14" polycast wheels from the factory, a boring looking wheel, but with these wheels installed the car it really makes it look so much better! I'm trying to think of the bad parts of the car to describe but mostly everything is taken care of, there pretty much are no bad spots aside from a little paint overspray in the door jambs. The air conditioning has no belt on the engine and it needs to be recharged. Other than that it's a genuine piece of art! BRAND NEW WINDSHIELD! While I had this painted I had a new windshield installed, it just had some rock chips but I wanted to take this to car shows and I felt it was better to just replace the windshield rather than fill rock chips. Absolutely no rust! I have been in and out of this car checking everything for any sign of corrosion and this is totally solid! Just in case though, to preserve the trunk floor I had an anti-rust epoxy paint laid into the pan and the spare tire well. The wheel wells are repainted in black. The gas tank cover has also been painted black. At car shows when people walk around it they almost always look at how clean the wheels wells are compared to other cars! The interior is OK for its age, OK meaning it's there and you can sit down inside of it, recline the seats and enjoy a comfy ride. The seats are original, there is just one small hole on the side of the driver's side front seat. The front seats had seat covers on them, I took those off to show the seats in their original condition. The rear package tray where the 3rd brake light is has been dyed black, a very unique and stylish decision which matches the exterior paint scheme! There's a 'Foose Designs' sticker on the back window, I always get asked about it and I say it's just an inspiration for how this car turned out. It has the MAF Mass Air Flow sensor system from a 1993 Mustang 2.3L and the wires are set through the car and ready to be installed. I don't have an engine computer from a 1993 Mustang but if the buyer wanted to try the conversion most of the work is done. That isn't any sort of problem to the car, it's just supposed to be a way to improve power response and it was a chance opportunity to install this setup. You can just leave it the way it is, none of it hurts the car in any way. I did have the engine computer refreshed/remanufactured by AAA Fuel Injections, I sell some of their products in my Ebay store. The exhaust has a custom turned dump tip right out of the end of the muffler, before the rear axle. It's supposed to improve performance but the actual reason was to give the rear of the car a clean look. I bought this car in 2007 at a car auction. It ran and drove as promised and I scored a deal with it! Inside the car was a 'For Sale' sign by the previous owner, priced at $2500 and it included a list of parts and repairs done to the car totaling over $6500... the previous owner changed a lot of parts on this car, had the transmission rebuilt, the rear differential seals were changed, the cylinder head was resurfaced and so much more was done to the car. It was owned by a Mustang lover! I drove it for a few months but I set it on my parent's lawn for the last 2 years while i was driving my custom VW Bus. Just recently I decided to have this cleaned up and repainted, and it was a joy to do that too! I have driven this car less than 1500 miles total... The 'Buy it Now' price is a giveaway price, I have more money than that invested in this car, add that to what the previous owner spent and the two of us spent close to $10,000 showing this car love. The reserve price is a little lower, but once the reserve is met the Buy it Now price goes away and it will sell to the highest bidder. The engine and transmission is just the standard 2.3L automatic with overdrive. It isn't fast, it still moves and keeps up with traffic without any problems. I planned on doing a Turbo installation on it but I never got around to doing that, and being an automatic just wouldn't be right to have a turbo installed. The pictures are from a few weeks ago, the engine compartment has been touched up with fresh paint around the edges and various other things have been improved so the overall look of the car is actually much better than shown in the pictures! There are pictures of it at the Return to Renton car show too! The buyer is responsible for picking this up from the Seattle area, the city of Renton, zip code: 98055 This car must be picked up before August 1, no exceptions. 0 feedback bidders and bidders who have not been active on Ebay for the last month must email me through the contact button and send me their email address and phone number otherwise your bid will be declined and you will be blocked. This car is reliable, I would fully trust it to drive across the country!
