Vehicle Detail

motorcycle_parts_4_sale Store Please read the entire auction before you bid! Up for auction is a restored 1970 CT70 Mini Trail. It will come with a clean, clear Utah state title. It is a very good restoration and this little bike will not disappoint, but its not a 100% correct restoration. We received this in a deal with some other items and did not perform any work or any of the restoration on this bike so I am going to do my best to describe it completely with details from the previous owner/restorer and what I have been able to verify myself. It has been completely restored from the frame up. All parts have been chromed, plated, polished, powder coated or replaced with new NOS, OEM parts. The frame, fork legs, headlight brackets and chain guard have been powder coated to match the Honda Candy Sapphire Blue. The engine has been completely gone through and rebuilt, runs like a top. Engine number is CT70E-235021. Some of the engine has been dressed up a little which is part of the reason why it is not a correct restoration. The clutch cover, stator/sprocket cover and intake manifold have been polished and the cylinder head covers have been chrome plated. The exhaust/muffler is a new OEM Honda exhaust and is correct. Shines like a little jewel in the sun! Tires and tubes are new. The wheels have been powder coated to match the factory Honda silver but I did see one small bend in the outside edge of the front and the rear wheel. Not big and only on one side, but if you look for them in the photos you will be able to see them. The seat cover is new as well as the foam and both installed on a clean original pan. Rebuilt forks with new seals and boots. All cables are the correct Honda gray cables and are all new. New chain and sprockets, but the rear sprocket is chrome plated. The headlight bucket has been painted blue and is a very close match, but is not perfect. It also has a very fine crack just starting at the top of the mount on the left side and can be seen in the photos. All lights, horn, electricals work with no problems with all new wiring, but it will need a battery. As you can see from the photos it is a very nice job and as I said will not disappoint, it will bring the new owner many years of trouble free, happy motoring, with plenty of conversation from passers by, but there are some small items that should be mentioned. I do not know what the process was, but when the frame was powder coated something was put over the frame number and that portion directly over the numbers has started to chip off. The silver paint on the cylinder head did bubble at the same location on each side. There is a very small ding in the bottom left side of the Speedometer trim. I noticed not all bolts have the Honda "8" on the head, but the majority do. These last few items have been shown in the photos. I have done my best to describe this bike as accurately as possible. I do not have any paperwork to verify any work that has been performed, but it does appear to be as described by the previous owner. I am sure I have not covered every question out there so please ask any questions you may have and I will answer them quickly and post them to the auction if they are relevant. I will also take any more photos that may be needed. I can't say enough how beautiful it really looks and how happy anyone out there would be to ride it around and show off to their family, friends and lucky onlookers. Good luck to all bidders, you will be getting a truly unique little machine that there are getting to be fewer and fewer of as each year passes. This will not be losing any value in the years to come and will only be going up. Shipping will be via Forward Air to the lower 48 states. It will be crated and taken to our terminal and be delivered to the closest terminal to you where you will have to pick it up. You can find the closest terminal at their web site which is www.forwardair.com. Shipping to the US will be an additional $150.00 over your winning bid amount and will include a crate and our delivery to the Forward Air terminal near us. Any International bidders who may be interested please contact me and I will do my best to help in any way I can. *If you are a Utah resident we have to charge Sales Tax, whether you pick-up or we ship item (s). Thanks PLEASE NOTE: We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. If an invoice is for any auctions that end on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, we will send those out first thing the following Monday morning.
