For sale is my 1978 Dodge Power Wagon pick up. I bought this several years ago with intentions of fixing it up however realize now I will never complete my plans. It is a desirable short box with manual 4 speed tranny mated to a V8. Perfect for hunting or mud running. It will make someone a good base to start from. Although it runs and drives fine, This is a project truck and will need attention (lots of attention). I will try to describe all I can, and will answer any questions on anything I missed or forgot. The odometer says 21434 miles however does not work. I imagine actual milage to be 121434 maybe much much more. The truck has a 3-4 inch rough country lift kit, a brush guard and roll bar with lights. The tires are 33-12.5-15, and have very little tread left: rear 1/8 inch and fronts 1/4 inch. It has newer dual exhaust and older headers. The alternator, battery, and fuel pump are new. The plug wires and coil have been upgraded to MSD. It has an after market tachometer installed. There is no radio or speakers, and the original bench seat was replaced with buckets. All glass is good however the windshield has a leak and will need attention. The speedometer does not work, never has as long as Ive had it. The heater works very well. The windows roll up and down fine however the knob is missing on the driver side handle. The latch for the driver side vent is also missing. For some reason this does not have power steering, looks like it came that way as there is no indication it was ever there. No AC, never had it. The lights and turn signals do work. It has an edelbrock performer carb, that needs rebuilt or replaced. I say this because the truck will not start after sitting a couple days or more unless you give it a shot of gas in the carburater to get it going. After that the truck starts and runs fine for the day. There are no keys, and the ignition need no key to turn. It looks complete however does not lock. The 4x4 works. It will need master cylinder replaced soon. The brakes seem fine and do not pull or make noises, however the brake pedal will go to the floor, and needs to be pumped to stop the vehicle. The truck looks pretty solid but it is obvious there has been body and paint work in the past. The rockers and cab corners are solid (possibly replaced), the floor boards have been repaired with sheet metal which is now very rusty. There is rust thru the rear upper wheel wells. The inside of the box is solid. There are signs of body work seen beneath the paint in various areas. I would expect a buyer to trailer this truck home or arrange for shipping. Although it drives fine it has very loud dual exhaust and no speedometer which is a great combination for a ticket from the law. I have only driven this 5 or 6 times, and start it occasionally to move it around. There is no warranty. You the buyer will buy as is, where is. Please refer questions thru ebays question link. I will update the auction with the questions and answers for everyone. I have tried to describe the good and bad to the best of my knowledge. I would not doubt I have forgotton things.
