Vehicle Detail

I apologize to watchers for canceling this listing last week. I had the prices all wrong. I am re-listing it tonight with the correct prices and I have added more information. The buy it now price is lower than before. You are bidding on a 1969 VW standard Beetle. (clear title, no motor) PLUS the following new restoration parts: --Two new full floor pans with seat tracks and jack points --Two new running boards --new sheet metal front apron --Set of 4 FIBERGLASS fenders, uncut, 2" wider than stock. The fenders are a dull black. They only look shinny because I hosed the dust off.I have a catalog from Mid America Motorworks so I looked up some prices for the extras. Full floor pans sell for $109 each side. The front apron is $49. A pair of running boards is $79 and the rear wider fiberglass fenders sell for $399 for the pair. I couldn't find a price for the front fiberglass fenders but I guess they would be about $100 each. So the total of just the "extras" that come with this car is $945. The buy it now price is $100 less than that. So.....pretty much if you buy this for the extras, you get the car for free. The body of the car is pretty good as you can see in the pictures. There are some dents but overall it is solid with only some rust. All the glass is intact with no cracks. The heater channels do look solid and OK to me. The seats are very good except for the driver's side seat back. However the interior is rough. Floor pans are gone except for under the driver's seat. You will also need the sheet metal for the luggage compartment behind the back seat. ($199 from Mid America Motorworks.) This car has 4 matching Cooper 165R15 tires with like new tread as you can see in the picture. The spare tire is junk. This car does NOT come with a motor. Another thing missing is the wiper motor and linkages. Before I removed the engine I drove the car around the yard in first and second. But I have not driven on the road. The mileage listed is not correct. I have no idea what the correct mileage is. PLEASE ask questions! I check my email daily and I want you to be happy with what you buy. Or, you can call me directly with questions at 570-439-6858. Please do not call after 9 PM EDT. Thanks! The reserve price is low. It's less than the cost of the extra parts that come with this car. I bought this car a few months ago thinking that I might restore it as the body was in really good shape. But about the same time I got another Bug, a 67, that is already good to go. One Bug is enough for me and I don't have the facilities to restore it anyway. So now it's up to you. Get a good, very restore-able VW for a reasonable price. I'm not trying to make a fortune on this. Just trying to get some of my bucks back to put into my other Bug. One more thing.....You can pick this Beetle up with either a trailer or a car tow dolly. I towed it over 100 miles with a rented car dolly from U-Haul. It was effortless. I will help you load. Thanks for looking (and reading!) and good luck bidding! On Jun-02-10 at 08:39:07 PDT, seller added the following information: A few words about the title for this car. I have a Florida title that is free of liens in hand but it is not in my name. This car changed hands a few times to people who were thinking of restoring it but didn't. And they apparently signed in places on the title they weren't supposed to. So, depending on the rules and regulations where you live, getting this car in your name maybe really easy or may turn out to be a big pain. Here in Pennsylvania it would probably be in the latter category. I'm sorry about that.
