1953 Ford F-100 Shortbed Pick-up Restoration Started Great Serial # F10R3U21953 (matches model year) Contact Us! If you have questions or just can't find what you need. We are offering a 1953 Ford F-100 pick-up. This is one of my private vehicles. We have been so busy doing work for others and running our business, that I can't seem to find the time to finish my own project. The restoration has been started on this truck as you can see in the photos. We have included many photos and descriptions but you are welcomed to make an appointment and come look at the truck in person. SERIAL NUMBER MATCHES THE MODEL YEAR.!!!F10R3U21953 You will be able to take your choice of engines with this truck as shown below. The frame and power brakes with all new parts ( shoes, wheel cylinders, steel lines) have been completed, The cab is virtually completed and will only need some minor skim coating and finish sanding to be ready for final paint. Front clip (fenders, hood, inner fender are setting on the truck loose at this time. Easy to set out of the way to do your engine install. I have not done any metal work to the front clip or the bed so far but do have new bottom lips made to be welded into the bottom edges of the bed. $500. deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of item close. Balance within 5 days. Vehicle is also for sale locally and we reserve the right to sell to a local buyer. See the photo(s) and more detail to description below: This is a photo of the truck as it was when I bought it. The previous owner bought it on June 3, 1977.I tried on occasion over a period of 25 years to buy this truck before he finally sold it to me. Another photo of the truck as originally purchased. The truck had a 302 and auto trans installed which had not be ran in over 20 years. I hooked up an auxiliary fuel tank, a battery, etc. It fired up and ran real nice after a few minutes. I actually used that engine in another 72 truck project. Disassembled and In progress In progress Frame and Brake work started. Frame before work began. New Wheel cylinders on all 4 corners. MBM Power Brakes installed. The MBM Corvette style Power Brake unit installed. All new steel lines and rubber lines were installed using Dennis Carpenter reproduction parts. Cab before restoration process started, it was pretty solid except for the normal problem areas. Glove box door was removed and new steel fabbed in for a smooth finish. Later in the cab process, additional photos below. Cab floor finished. Lower rear corner cut out for panel replacement. There are NO re-pops of these corners with the filler neck, they have to be fabricated and fitted in to the original. Cab corner fabricated to fit filler neck. Corner welded in, just needs some skim coating and smoothing up now. Right cab corner cut out. Right cab corner fabricated back in ready for skim coating to smooth it all up. Rear of cab. Cab and frame. Underside of cab is fully coated with Rubberized Undercoating. Bed. decent shape except for the lower lip. We have already fabbed up some new lower lips to be welded in. They will disappear when the wood is laid in. They will be included. Bed from the rear view. Bed right side view. A full 20 CIRCUIT wiring harness will be included with instructions. Similar to Painless wiring, each wire is marked with it location in the circuit. More than enough circuits to run Power Windows, Door locks, AC, anything you desire. Wiring harness. I have done one of these harnesses before, not to bad a job but a little time consuming. They are much easier when you are working on a stripped down vehicle such as this. Front clip - Fender and Hood. Left view. Frnt clip is loosely sitting on truck, set it out of the way to install your engine EASILY. Front Clip - Right side view. Some more cab photos. Cab interior. You will be able to choose an engine from 3 that we have available!!! Engine choice # 1 of 3 This is a 302 from a 72 F100. This engine runs great but has wrist pin knock. I did install a new crank and bearings and all new gaskets, including the head gaskets. Put it in a truck and still had the knock which I thought I had fixed. We pulled the engine back out after 20 miles and put it back on the stand for wrist pin work. There is an automatic trans already in the truck that this 302 will mate up to. That trans will be taken out if you go with engine option # 3 below which includes it's own transmission. Engine Choice # 2 of 3 Another 302 from a 95 For Mustang GT 5.0 project that we did. This engine had aprox. 87,000 miles. We pulled it from the Mustang to do a Stroker Engine in that project car. The intake and carb shown will not be included. You can go with a carb or fuel injection on this engine easily Again, There is an automatic trans already in the truck that this 302 will mate up to. That trans will be taken out if you go with engine option # 3 below which includes it's own transmission.. Another shot of the 95 Mustang 5.0 GT 302 engine. Engine Choice # 3 of 3 This 351 is from a 77 Thunderbird. You will also get the transmission if this is your engine choice. I bought this T-bird out of a farm pasture where it had been sitting for several years. With a little work, got it started and drove it onto the trailer, it runs nice! Clean it up, paint it and set it in!!! This is the paint scheme we were shooting for. Change it up to fit your attitude. Contact us with any questions! Be sure to check out our other items!
