1985 Toyota pickup - longbed. 22R engine Model RN55L-MR- C/TR A/TM 8AIVN81F302N5Z Positives: As shown in the photos, it's condition is good. Original Paint. The engine runs great, clutch feels like new. Original radio works well. Truck was purchased with no lighter...the owners are non-smokers....ash tray has never been used. It also has Air Conditioning. I'm the second owner. The original owners are my next-door neighbors, we have been neighbors for 23 years. They are both professionals and used this truck for commuting and light duty... Home Depot and nursery transport, etc. It has never been used for construction purposes. Mechanical repairs were always done by a professional as they do not own any automotive tools and have no knowledge of auto mechanics. I have a folder with all maintenance and repairs done during the course of the last four (4) years. The bed has been repainted due to general wear and paint flaking, however there have never been any repairs done to the bed bottom and there are no dents, no rust and no bondo. Negatives: Paint looks good in photos but the truck needs a paint job. About ten years ago the front end of another car slipped over the top of the rear bumper and wrinkled the sheet metal that the license plate is attached to. Bumper brackets had to be straightened but the sheet metal is not a perfect repair. The tailgate was not struck, but rubs the sides when opened and closed. The only other mishap was a cracked left blinker lens which was replaced and a dent on the tip of the left front fender....identified in photo but you cannot see the repair....it can be seen with the naked eye. Bench seat upholstery was cracked on the driver's side but bench was re-upholstered. At that time, the upholsterer made slip covers out of the stock bench material to go over the sun-bleached head rests.
