THE WINNER OF THIS AUCTION WILL NEED TO PAY THE DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL WHEN THE AUCTION ENDS. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING. We have a nice Jeep up for bids that has been a great vehicle. It has been parked for a little over a year because the transmission went bad when on a family vacation. We were planning on replacing the transmission however right now we don't have the time or money to put into the project and our town is getting ready to impose a law on un-insured and un-licensed vehicles parked in your yard so we have to let it go. It has like new Michelin tires which probably have less than about 2000 miles on them, probably less than that but we want to be as honest as possible. The motor has 247,017 miles on it and there is no transmission in the vehicle. The motor was running fine when the transmission went out and it could not be rebuilt so they repair shop just kept it out. The interior is in good condition but there is wear and tear of course. The outside is in good condition and there are a few blemishes but no major damage and we tried to photograph this for you and you can see those photos below. The windshield also has a small crack. There is an after market radio installed in which the owner will remove and we will re-install the factory radio. The vehicle is located in Victoria, Virginia 23974 and it will need to be towed from our property. We rented a U-Haul trailer when we towed it home, but we would recommend not using a tow dolly or a standard tow truck. We would suggest a trailer or rollback to avoid damage to the drivetrain since there is no transmission installed. You will need to make these preparations and remove the car from our property at your expense. The title is free and clear. All sales are final and we cannot promise or guarantee anything on this vehicle. There will be no returns, refunds or partial payments accepted. We will accept cash or a U.S. Money Order as payment. There will be a $250.00 deposit required at the end of the auction which will be paid by PayPal which is non refundable and the car must be picked up within 10 days of the auction end or you will lose the deposit and we will re-sell. We reserve the right to end this auction at anytime as the vehicle is for sale locally. FOR MORE DETAILS ON THE ORVIS EDITION JEEP PLEASE READ BELOW THE PHOTOS Take a look at the photos below! Additional information on the Orvis Edition Jeeps found on www.jeeporvis.com The fact is, the Orvis Edition Jeep is simply a $663 option package tacked onto the top-line Grand Cherokee Limited. It adds a special dark green paint job, red and green trim on the door panels and leather seats, a towing package, and a heavy-duty off-road suspension system with skid plates and tow hooks. It's almost ridiculous, sort of like a gift for the person who has everything. That's because the vast majority of buyers who can afford more than $32,000 for their sport-utility vehicles seldom subject them to anything more strenuous than an occasional sprint to the money machine. 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Engine: 5.2-liter V-8, 220 horsepower. Transmission: Four-speed automatic, full-time four-wheel drive. Overall Length: 14 feet 11 inches. EPA cargo volume: 40 cubic feet (rear seat up), 81 cubic feet (rear seat folded). Weight: 3,958 pounds. EPA fuel consumption: 14 miles per gallon city, 18 highway. Base price, including destination charge: $31,182. Pace Publications base dealer cost: $28,185. Price as tested: $32,631. So all of that extra off-road capability and hardware is mainly there so you can tell your friends you have it and are ready for anything. Truth be told, this version of the Grand Cherokee can handle about anything Mom Nature can throw. The tester had the optional 5.2-liter V-8 engine, which delivers 220 horsepower and enough torque, or low-speed pulling power, to haul heavy loads up mining trails. The power gets down through a four-speed automatic transmission and a sophisticated system that uses a center differential so the four-wheel drive works all the time. The only time you need engage the manual shifter is to gear down into low range. With the wheels always connected to the power source, the Jeep Orvis inspires confidence in virtually any driving situation. It's stable in ordinary freeway driving, though there is some tendency to wander, and when the going gets slippery the Jeep gets going. Anti- lock brakes are standard. The interior is as plush and comfortable as expected, given the high-altitude price. The main drawback is in the cargo area, where a covered full-size spare wheel eats up a substantial chunk of space. Still, there's about 40 cubic feet left, enough to swallow a substantial load of luggage. Jeep's Grand Cherokee is the definitive sport/utility: a midsize 5-door wagon. Our tester was an absolutely top-of-the-line Orvis Edition with a price tag of $37,567. It had a 220-hp version of the same 5.2-liter V8 that powers the Dodge Dakota. The Grand Cherokee has a car like unitized body/chassis. And despite the fact that it weighs nearly 2 tons, it's 2 ft. shorter than a Tahoe, 6 in. narrower and 6 in. lower. But at 7.7 in., it has a half-inch more ground clearance and can carry 80 cu. ft. of gear and/or tow up to 6500 pounds. Unlike every other 4-wheeler in our group, all of which use an A-arm independent front suspension, the Jeep has rigid front and rear axles. But you'd never know it, because the Grand Cherokee rides beautifully on pavement. It's also easy to see why these vehicles are so popular. Our Orvis Edition was comparable to an entry-level Lexus or BMW on the luxury scale. What you might not expect is how competent the Grand Cherokee can be off-road. It motors effortlessly through muck that has other 4x4s spinning their wheels. It's well-balanced not only fore and aft, but side to side. We think it's the best off-roader of the five 4-wheelers in this group. If you have any questions please let us know because we want to receive a 5 star rating from you.
