This car runs and drives well with no mechanical issues and the seller states the car just received a rebuilt transmission. This car is finished in classic Light Ivory, a favorite among Mercedes collectors. It is fitted with an attractive Palomino interior and an excellent original dark brown soft top, hardly having been used.The car has been repainted at one point in it's lifetime the same correct color. The finish overall is quite glossy and nice. Upon close inspection, there's some underpaint blemishes starting above the RH front marker light. There are some smaller specks of corrosion here and there, but nothing that can't be easily addressed or corrected.The car's interior presents quite well for being original. The seats look good, as well as the door panels, carpets, etc. The car's dashboard in good overall, but has a few minor cracks. The laminated wood set could use replacement. The rear pad/bolster shows some fading from the California sun, but can be easily redyed. The car's softtop is excellent and shows to be the original factory fitted one, a big plus. The hardtop is in good condition and fits well, but is showing some surface rust just along the front edge.The car runs and drives well with no mechanical faults or issues, like most of them do, suggesting it's been maintained properly throughout it's life. The engine starts fine with no noises, good oil pressure, no smoke, and settles into a nice idle when warm. Tires and wheels look fine. Overall, this attractive and modestly priced 560 SL is a nice dependable driving car that operates well.
