This car was recently purchased from a college professor in Pennsylvania who put the car into storage in 1976 needing some minor attention. Today, the car is in very good overall condition with excellent straight panels, super good solid wood, no rust or corrosion, no door sag, and very complete. It's never been apart and appears to have had one simple respray along with a modest retrim. It's the perfect survivor car to get running and driving and just enjoy as is, with it's older cosmetics, or restore. The body on this car is excellent with very little in the way of any damage or dents. It's been hidden away and protected for years. The panel fit is very good. The older paintwork has a nice even sheen to it along with some usual chips and scrapes from use back in the day. The car's interior trim is in very decent shape with nice vinyl seats and door panels, black loop carpet, a presentable wood dashboard with clean gauges. The white soft top has a few tears along some cotton stitch lines due to age. The sidecurtains look serviceable. The car's matching numbers 1250 engine turns nicely by hand and may even run with a battery and fresh fuel. The oil i the pan certainly looks very clean ! The car also needs it's braking system renewed. Tires look decent but old. The car's underside speaks for itself and looks perfectly original with just enough oil to coat and preserve everything , all in keeping with the car's stated mileage. Overall, a lovely and well-preserved TD with great integrity and originality, just needing an easy recommissioning to get back on the road.
