This car was recently purchased from it's long term owner in the state of Maryland. There is a windshield decal from 1976 showing it lived in Wisconsin at that time. This car presents itself as a nicely untouched example with an extremely well-preserved original interior. It needs a chassis replacement as part of the restoration process going forward, something not unheard of with a Europa rebuild...The original fiberglass body on this car is quite nice and straight with only some very minimal repairs needed. It appears to have been painted once in a close shade of it's rare, attractive, and quite unusual Tawny Brown. The doors need the typical hinge repairs. The paint is flaking and lifting in most places and would be removed nicely with some aircraft stripper. Overall, a very nice and clean accident-free body. The car's interior trim is very well-preserved. Seats looks original and in near mint condition, along with the matching dash top pad. The car still retains it's original carpets and headliner, although the front floormats are missing. The wood dashboard needs the usual replacement, as the quality of the originals was poor on these models.The car still retains all of it's original glass and minimal brightwork. The windshield has a crack in the RH lower corner. The car includes the spare tire. The car's engine compartment looks highly original and untouched, along with the correct and rare air box, air cleaner, hoses, clamps, etc. The car's engine is stuck from sitting, but could free up with some patient soaking of penetrant. I would think a rebuild is in order anyways.Overall, a very nice, complete, original desirable Europa Twin Cam Special in an interesting color with a matching numbers engine.
