Vehicle Information VIN: TS72502L Stock: 0295 Mileage: 848 Color: Green Trans: Manual Engine: Inline 4 MPG: Drivetrain: RWD Description Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this thoroughly and well-restored TR3A in an excellent and rare color scheme. This late production car features the "raised-hinge" body with the stronger and improved body pressings. This car was just purchased from it's owner/restorer from the state of North Carolina, where it received a total body-off-the-frame restoration with documentation. The car was completely stripped down to a bare shell and body panels, shot blasted, and then metal refinished with new floor pans and a battery box installed. The body was then built back up with new bodywork and paintwork with extremely nice results. Mechanically, the upgraded 2.2 liter TR-4 engine received a complete rebuild. It runs cool with great oil pressure. It is fitted with a high torque starter, rebuilt carburetor set, and new alternator converted to negative earth. The radiator has been serviced and fitted with an auxiliary electric fan. The gearbox fitted has also been replaced/upgraded to a full-syncromesh TR-4 unit. A new fuel tank was installed along with a new electric pump. The braking system and front/rear suspension were also rebuilt/renewed. Four new 72-spoke chrome wire wheels are fitted/balanced with quality Dunlop radial tires, with new hubs and chrome knock-offs. Interior trim was renewed in tan upholstery with matching seats, panel kit, and carpets all imported from the UK. The top is a correct, black, crush grain vinyl type on a restored top frame. Chromework is mostly all new or replated, with a few nice original items retained. A new rubber kit is fitted, along with a new windshield glass. A new wiring harness with electrical components were installed. The original sidecurtain set appear quite nice and would just require minor detailing. Overall, a very nice restored car from the frame up. This highly attractive car in this rare color scheme drives well, and is exceptional value when one considers today's costs on restoring a vehicle to this level.
