Vehicle Detail
1976 Porsche 911S targa vin number 9116211308. One of less than 2000 Targas for the US market in 1976. Purchased new and was in California most of its existence, it now resides in Portland, OR. Get in touch and I can send a link to an online photo album with around 100 pictures. Mechanical condition: Excellent! The original engine was replaced with a rebuilt 911SC 3.0 in 2008, the car has been driven less than 2000 miles since the work was done and it cost $14,780, 10 years ago! That work was performed by Tillman’s German Car Specialists in Santa Rosa, CA. At that time an external oil cooler was also added to the car. Two years ago the brake system was completely rebuilt and some suspension/sway bar bushings were replaced and the car was aligned, that bill was about $3000. The car runs and drives perfect, just like a new 1976 Porsche 911 targa. I don’t see any oil leaks, evidence of past body damage or rust (1976 Porsche cars had galvanized bodies). This car still has the air injection pump and should pass smog tests in most areas and or is exempt because of age. The Porsche also has a clean title and less than 100,000 miles. Body and paint: This car is just back from a $10,000 glass out paint job, all the rubber window and door seals etc were also replaced, including the back window seal. This car was repainted in the original color (copper brown metallic) and high quality European car paint was professionally applied. The targa top and all the chrome trim, other body trim and badges etc. are also very nice. Interior: This car features the original and very nice cinnamon colored interior with original leather sports seats. The driver’s bolster has some wear but still presents well, the leather is still supple. The dash is excellent and has no cracks; the steering wheel is great but needs some restitching work. The carpets have some minor wear and some fading from the sun but still presents well. I think everything works except the clock. This car includes receipts for the work already mentioned, the original owner’s manual/warranty book with cover, Blaupunkt stereo with owner’s manual for that, space saver spare and car jack.I'm listing this car for a friend the final payment will be made to the owner of this car. This car is being sold as is with no warranty stated or implied. Please feel free to ask any and all questions and to inspect the car for yourself or have it inspected locally, at your expense.
