This car was recently purchased from a Lotus collector in Tennessee who bought the car locally here in Los Angeles, when it was running and driving nicely with a newer/restored interior. The car has been in storage for the past year or so and currently isn't running, but turns over nicely and evenly on the starter with compression that sounds very good and healthy. All of the fluids look clean and up to the mark. The seller indicated that the car was driving fine before being stored. Our local general mechanic performed a quick inspection and indicated that there is no fuel or spark being supplied to the engine, but was not too familiar with these cars to work on it further.The paintwork on this car is older and could eventually use a proper respray, but is acceptable for an around-town driver. There is some stress cracking showing on the front bumper and a small tear in the rubber bumper, most likely due to a small bump on the nose (see picture). The rear bumper shows some warping on the LH side. The windows have been tinted dark. The car's overall appearance is nice looking with it's expensive set of HRE alloy wheels.The car's interior trim is in very good condition, as it was renewed in correct looking dark/black suede. Overall, an exciting black Lotus that could use some minor attention and is very well priced to sell. These Turbo models are quite desirable and easily command prices into the $40,000 plus range when nice.
