Vehicle Detail

FIRSTLY LET ME APOLOGIZE FOR NOT POSTING WINDOW STICKER PIC UNTIL 1/28. FILE WAS ORIGINALLY TOO BIG. CURED NOW. Folks we have here a very unique Corvette Stingray. I special ordered the car to take delivery of a new 2015. I ordered the car through MacMulkin Chevrolet in New Hampshire, a well known dealer for such orders. I received delivery of the car on 22 September 2014 at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY across the highway from the factory. I cannot say enough good things about museum delivery. Most importantly, their prep shop goes across and takes delivery personally, and a crew of 5 take it back to their shop in the museum, whereupon they go over the car for 3 days inspecting it and prepping it for delivery. The car than sat on display cordoned off in the Museum for several days for gawkers. I drove the car back to my home in California, first stopping St Louis, MO where I had a shop apply ClearBra to the front, lower side panels, and rear of the car. I also had them apply CQuartz Finest to the car. This took 3 days, and $3K. Worth every cent. I then drove to California, stopping in central Kansas for relatives, and had the oil changed in the Wichita area. I took my time across to the west coast, a week. When I ordered the car, I used the GM ordering system wherein you can specify each little nit and feature you want. I spared nothing. You can inspect pics of the original window sticker the Museum gave me, listing all the details. In fact, rather than enumerate them here, you can see those pics in detail, they are big jpegs, print them out. From mag-ride to racing seats, its all there. Please take a detailed look. The car cost me what you see there, about $80K. But, a bargain compared to its nearest competition, which is Italian. Included with the car is all the Museum goodies. A red leather encased special book, a file folder of museum delivery material and records, etc etc. My philosophy in the order was to make it the same color scheme as the original Stingray. White with red interior. The interior on this car is top notch, about 90 percent leather, including the dash. Take the time to look at the detail I went through. Some things are add-ons. The black Corvette emblems front and rear, the black sting rays on the sides, are all GM and added. The aluminum kick panels on both doors are aftermarket. I added an AFE filter element to the air intake, and engine decals on the top cover. The car has new carbon brake pads, the stock were soft and dusty. I took off the run flat tires after returning to California; they are good ideas, but ride like stones. I put top shelf Toyo Proxes rubber on the car, which at this juncture have about 2K miles on them. Installed Iridium spark plugs. Has carbon fiber look wheel trim pieces, all 4 wheels. Next, in driving it back for Kentucky, it was clear that the one place GM was cheap on the car was in sound deadening. The drone and noise on the back deck was unacceptable. So I spent a grand on sound deadening the back deck, waterfall, and back wheel wells. Transformed the car. I put carbon inlays over the DOT warnings on the underside of the visors. GM had a recall on the latches for the T-top, which work well. The carbon top is beautiful and works nicely. I replaced the anemic stock battery with a high capacity AGM battery. The coolant was replaced with Evans coolant. Lastly, I replaced the stock made in Taiwan shifter from GM with a very nice top shelf MGW short throw shifter. This was seriously needed in my opinion. Works a treat. Looks great as well. The car was recently serviced (oil change) and detailed for this showing including leather treatment. It needs nothing. It has been kept all its life inside and on a battery tender when not showing off. Take a look at all the options on the car, and the immaculate care and condition, and you will readily see that my price is a serious bargain. Why selling? I was forced into early retirement due to a company buyout and for severe health reasons as well. The car has to go, its been a real joy. Someone will get a near new Stingray that is a real head turner. I cannot fuel up without commentary. Make an serious offer. I will work with buyer to ship. Buyer to pay a deposit on purchase via PayPal and balance in cash or equivalent within 3 business days. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you for your interest.
