This car was just discovered in a Northern California barn after being parked there 45 years ago in 1972 ! This car has only a believed 66k original miles, and was painted and reupholstered once in it's lifetime. It still retains one of the original black license plates that still matches it's title and registration card that was found in the car from 1972. The body on this car is very solid and rustfree with no signs of rust or even repairs! The car still retains it's original dogleg areas with factory sheetmetal on all of it's fenders. The car's underside is completely original, solid and rustfree including the trunk floor, main floors, toe board areas, inner and ORIGINAL outer rockers, bottoms of front fenders, outriggers, etc. The car had some front end body repairs at some point early on in it's life and was then painted it's current eggplant purple. Panel fit is average on the hood, but very good elsewhere. The car could use a complete stripdown to bare metal for it's next respray. There are lots of areas on the body and edges showing the original factory red paintwork. The car's interior trim needs restoration but is all there and complete including very nice gauges, original sidescreen set. There are traces of the original red interior vinyl and carpets in several areas. The floors are perfectly solid. The car's believed original engine runs extremely well with great oil pressure, no smoke or noises, sounds smooth and strong, and revs very well. The car would need the brakes and fuel systems serviced in order to drive. The fuel tank is new, which is a nice start. The car rolls and steers with a nice, tight and smooth steering box.The car includes a rare and attractive factory hardtop in good overall shape, with a good headliner. The car also has a soft top frame and some other small parts. The car still retains all of it's original ID plates to the car including VIN plate, body tag, and engine tag. Overall, a highly optioned, amazingly solid, low-mileage California car for easy cosmetic restoration.
