What we have here is an extremely nice 2006 Mercedes Benz SLK280 for the price of a golf cart! First off I will tell you that this is flood car but let me explain why some flood cars are not the same as the notorious submerged flood cars you should be worried about and need to avoid. I buy Mercedes Benz cars for their parts, often the cars are worth far more in parts than as a whole unit. My favorites are flood cars since there is often no damage and often there is no water intrusion. This is one of those cars. I have looked through this car and there is no water intrusion at all. Zero. No issues, no smell, no still moist carpeting. I see this more than you would expect, a car that gets totaled out when there is no reason to do so. My only guess is that in times of floods there is so much volume of claims they just can't get to every single one and many completely fine cars get totaled out due to "flood" and thus get a salvage flood certificate when they really shouldn't. My garage is full of flood cars that have no damage, most of these I keep for myself since they offer fantastic value for the money. In this case, I love the 2nd generation SLK but do not care for an automatic transmission and being that it is red it only seems for Christmas this should be under someone else's tree. Overall the car is gorgeous and has very few flaws. The main flaw is a crack in the lower chin spoiler on the front which I only found when looking for something to flaw the car for. Expect a couple rock chips as would be expected but other than that the car looks like new. Interior is likewise excellent. The leather seats on this genertion SLK stand up well to lots of use and since these have relatively low use still look excellent. The main interior flaw is the radio screen is pixelled out of control, radio still works fine but the screen needs to be replaced (pictured). I have a spare screen that will be included with the car but I have no idea if it works as it has been on the shelf for at least 5 years. This has HEATED SEATS, a must have option if you want the top down when the temperature is likewise. Of course the hardtop convertible works exactly as it should! A/c, heat, mirrors, windows, power seat controls and all electrics work as new. There are no lights on the dash, no issues. Car starts, runs and drives like new. In all this is the best value for the money you will find in a used Mercedes SLK, this car was extremely well kept and it shows. Couple that with a stunning arrest-me-red exterior and the neighbors will think you paid many times more than what you did. So splurge on a great Xmas present for yourself or give it to you spouse for a Christmas they will remember for a very long time! Fly in and drive it away, the car is ready to go wherever you choose!
