Vehicle Detail
This has been my daughter's car for the last 6 years. Well maintained and it runs great, no issues, very dependable. She now needs to sell it since she just got a new car for her graduation. Salvage title is due to a fender-bender about 3 years ago that was cosmetic damage only. We fixed it up right away and kept driving it. It is perfectly legal and safe to drive in all situations, don't let the salvage title scare you. It is a great car. Just to let you know, the salvage title will not make it any harder for you to register it in your name at the DMV since I already went through the DMV inspection to get the salvage title registered for normal driving. There are absolutely no restrictions on how or where you can drive it, it's just like a normal "clean" title registration in terms of operating the car. The only thing that would make any difference is with insurance. My insurance company said the liability coverage costs the same whether it's a salvage title or not, but they would not offer comp or collision coverage. It's pretty much a no-brainer to figure out that it's not worth paying for comp and collision coverage on an older less costly car such as this, so for me it was not an issue at all unless I was being forced to carry that coverage because I was financing the car. As of the last year or so, we have installed new shocks, a new alternator, and a new canvas top. The A/C blows super cold and it has a great stereo system. I also just replaced the battery. I just smogged it and renewed the registration, good until June 2018. It's a fun car to drive, especially with the top down. If you are looking for a nice convertible for an affordable price, this is it. P.S. - The last buyer "bought it" and then never paid or communicated with me. And then another buyer "bought it" and then had no way to get the car from out-of-state. SOOOO... please don't bid unless you are serious and can come out and meet me in person to pay the balance and take possession of the car and title. Please call me to arrange a test drive 949-596-5821. PLEASE test drive it before you bid. I have lowered the price to sell quickly but it is an absolute firm price. At $1995 it's a steal and you know it. Last week I (stupidly) rejected an offer of $2100.
