Offered for sale is a 1956 Pontiac Star Chief 4 door sedan. This beautiful numbers matching original car has been used as a daily driver and is essentially all original with the 317 ci. 227 HP V8 and automatic transmission. We just have too many cars and it's time to let someone else enjoy her as we have. Body is straight, but will soon need to be repainted. The stainless trim is all there and in pretty good shape, could use some polishing. The front and rear bumpers have pitting and will eventually need to be re-chromed. The car has been very dependable and is loaded with many 1955 era accessories including cold air-conditioning, power-steering, tissue box, chrome door handle guards and compass. White wall tires are in good shape as is the spare. Original jack is present along with a host of dealer documentation that would have been available in 1955. Original owner’s manual is also included. Pretty much everything works on the car, except the clock. At some point, an electric fuel pump was added to assist in starting during cold months. No issues at all with the engine, transmission or drivetrain, you can get in it and drive it anywhere.Have provided photos where paint is off and primer is showing through. Overall, it's a very solid car, runs and drives great and could drive anywhere. Message with any questions or specific photo requests.
