Mario Andretti signed 56,300 mile Indianapolis 500 Pace Car For sale is my 1969 Camaro Z11 Indy Pace Car. A true coded Z11, Convertible, Super Sport, Rally Sport nicely optioned car. Build date is the third week of April, 1969. Original 350/300HP with a 4-speed Muncie and a driveable 3:31 12 bolt rear. Engine has the rare #3932388 seasoned block and 7029203 Rochester carb. Working complete cowl induction hood and breather. Original GM Hurst shifter, linkage and reverse lock out still intact. Car has full console gauges, clock, tilt column and power top. The Rally Sport headlight door assemblies and headlight nozzle washer system are in working order. Car still has the assembly line two piece front rotors, not the one piece replacements. Complete Deluxe 720 Orange Houndstooth interior and the convertible top boot shows very well. The plastic rear window is clear but does has a rub mark that I never tried to fix but still way better than most I’ve seen. All four dampers are bolted to each corner of the car. Every accessory works to include, key buzzer, cigarette lighter, fiber optics ash tray light, glove box, courtesy lights and trunk light. Original trunk jack, space saver tire, inflator bottle complete the trunk. The AM/FM, 8-track with four speakers still work perfectly, so long as the tape you put in, is still good. I have a couple NOS 8-tracks still wrapped in plastic, like the Beach Boys for when the car is shown. Undercarriage almost looks like a new car. The engine compartment and the trunk look new as well. Car starts, shifts, stops and steers without pulling and sounds even better. The outer sheet metal looks to be original but was painted and touched up over the years. Using a magnet on the lower portions of the car doesn’t seem to find any filler but can’t guarantee that. Car was redone before my enjoyment and has held up great through the 12 years of ownership. I'm not a professional car restorer by any means but the car has such presence at shows, that it made me look good. Every item and component is in place as it should be, that I know of. This is not a perfect #1 pedestal show car, it's a very nice driver. Car was endorsed by Mario Andretti on the driver’s door. It was the backdrop in his celebrity signing booth at a race track. New owner will get photos of this and his signed autobiography book. It has won third place(twice) at the GM Camaro nationals in PA, USA.
